Winterweir is filled with many races. There are almost all of the ones found in the M&M and beyond. However, things take on a darker edge in Winterweir. Races like the Elves are amoral offshoots of the Lilin and called the Fair Folk whom are more often psychopaths than anything else. Likewise, a set of more common races exist that I suggest people take in lieu of regular ones.

Bathas

A race of dark skinned Dwarves that are the former descendants of the Terra'ssar's (Dragons) favorite slave masters. Bathas are an atheistic race that only venerates the power of science (with a few exceptions that are ridiculed by their peers). They produce the best alchemists in the world and often wield technology well above that of their fellows. Bathas despise the Valken as a race of fools and mystics while they are hated in return for being materialists. Half-Jotuns dislike Bathas as a rule because so many of their kind are enslaved by them in other lands.

Half-Celestials

A race of blindingly beautiful mortals that often are immortal or possess some incredible power in addition to their intense natural Charisma (such as wings or vast magical potential). Half-Celestials are the descendants of the Celestials that rule from the Silver Eternity and are treated as demigods. Some also believe their ancestors to be the gods themselves and are treated as such. Half-Celestials are rarely allowed to be "normal" as people keep trying to thrust greatness on them.

Humans

Much stronger and less decrypted in this world. Humans live up to 120 years old if they are lucky and generally rarely get sick or die of exposure, allowing them to be treated as a very hardy race. This is due to the Terra'ssar having tampered with the human genetic code when they first brought their slaves from Earth.
