Background
Personal history: A native Lunar, Miles grew frustrated with the conservatism and complacency that seemed omnipresent there. Believing that self-knowledge and self-improvement went together, he left Luna to see the universe and to try to learn about himself along the way. Losing his morph in a firefight in Extropia was his first lesson. Seeing a few Ultimate security mercs put down the fight was his second. Initially denied admission to the organization, Miles purchased a Remade morph and signed on with a hypercorp security team. Earning a solid reputation as a tough and reliable asset, Miles was finally admitted to the Ultimates, where he continued his journey with his fellow perfectionists.
Reason for coming to Mars: Miles came to Mars as part of a hypercorp security contract, but stayed on after the contract was complete to investigate the nomads and pioneers living on Mar's southern hemisphere, whose nomadic and minimalistic lifestyle intrigues him. Even though he takes their credits, Miles is quietly contemptuous of the Tharsis League and other hypercorps operating on Mars. He approves of the Barsoomian movement's attempts to win their independence, although he would advocate more violent methods of resistance.
Personal characteristics: Like most Ultimates, Miles is quiet, withdrawn, and calm. Two things are of prime importance: new enemies and new philosophies. Both offer him opportunities to expand his understanding of self and the universe around him. When not on a mission, Miles enjoys practicing neotraditional Buddhist Shikantaza meditation, as well as studying works of military history.
Firewall connection: Miles has begun working directly with Firewall only recently, although the organization had employed him through secondary groups for some time. Firewall directly recruited Miles after a mission in which he singlehandedly engaged and destroyed several Exsurgent-infected synthmorphs attempting to sabotage the Discord gate facility on Eris.
