Sala Tak Alara, Bak Dala, and of course Duncan, are on the list allowed to used gun powder. Sala Tak wears a gold at all times, has the second near by.

Sala's Pistol Effort is a complicated one. He can create one horde batch of 24 every year. One of the guns in each horde is gold. One of the guns is black. 22 are silver. Gold and Black weapons are prized.

The Rangers are slowly gaining firearms as part of their kits. Sala is pushing the effort. Ranger units often train in a training location taught by SAS, Ranger, and other special forces. They have a different kit for different shadows.

Miscellany

  • Born 3793. His father was a Ranger and his mother a member of the Brownie royal line. Both are deceased. Spent 100 years in the Elven compound in the Ice Wastes.
  • Joined Amber military in 3893. Served 200 years before becoming the Elite for Duncan, Son of Julian. Soon after joined the Rangers. After 300 years as a Ranger and Duncan's Elite he became the Bookkeeper for the Rangers. Since then he has held every clerical job the Rangers have or need.

It shouldn't be assumed he is a harmless book worm. He just doesn't like camping. As a member of Julian's inner circle, with Duncan, he was a member of nearly every important activity of the thousand years.
