• A failed University graduate, Shiva now works for an aqua farming company, overseeing many of the aspects of growing local and introduced flora for food consumption. Or so he thought. He spends most of his day either in a wet suit or piloting one of the many different submersibles used by the farm. He's a supervisor, with a dozen other technicians below him, but without that degree he won't be promoted for a long time. His family are wealthy corporate middle management who can't understand the failure that is their son, an attitude mirrored by his two brothers but not his sister.
• Nerdy, quiet and a pacifist, Shiva is lonely and on the look out for a girlfriend/boyfriend.

• He's also contemplating applying for university again, especially so since the appearance of a local gang, which after he turned down their business offer has targeted him on several occasions, beating him up and invading his home. His jet ski has been stolen as of yesterday and his pet otter nailed to his door.
