Storm of Amber is a young Marukani man with a broad face and high cheekbones, weathered slightly from his time riding against the windA short, bristly goatee and mustache dot his chin and upper lip and he wears his black hair long, with a few small braids to guard against knots. Tied directly into his hair he also wears two gold-colored pinfeathers that he claimed in judgment against a Thunderbird, Shouting With Iron, not long after he Exalted.

In traditional Marukani fashion, Storm of Amber's clothing is highly decorated, be it the hanfu he uses for daily wear or the thicker war robe he wears as padding for his armorThough he favors bold reds, splashes of green and gold show up in embroidery patterns, the lining for his robes or the sashes he ties around his wrist or waistWill he or no, Storm of Amber is almost never without the Third-Arm Glaive; even when none have seen him carry the spear with him it tends to sit, resting nearby.

The history of the Solars is a history of betrayal, and that's truer of no one than it is of Storm of Amber's First Age incarnation, KahrobaHe was betrayed not by his Dragon-Blooded vassals, not by his Sidereal advisors, not by his Lunar mate, but by the hand of his brother SolarsAn outrider for the Deliberative, Kahroba travelled the far fringes of Creation, bringing the judgements and justice of his peers, raising armies to stand against the Yozis' demonic incursionsBut, as exposed to mortals as he was, he came to care for them much more than did their other Solar lords, isolated in their manses.

As the First Age wore on and the Solars' pride and decadence increased by leaps and bounds, Kahroba put himself between the mortals and their crueltyIn their rage at his temerity, his brothers struck him down.  They sealed away his spear, tore apart his elemental servants and buried his corpse in a far-off tomb before finally realizing the shame of what they'd done and guiltily striking his name from their roles.

A short while later the Zenith Essence-shard Exalted again, but things had only gotten worse.  The Solars were more decadent, their depradations more foul.  When the Usurpation came shortly thereafter, the young Solar didn't stand a chance against the sworn brotherhood of Dragon-Blooded who came for him, nor had he done anything to deserve their wrath.
