Setting

The year is 197X, and the youth of Japan are in revolt. Traditional institutions seek to crush individuality in the name of order, and girls are expected to quietly submit. Those who refuse to do so are labelled delinquents by society. This is the story of one group of such girls.

• Razor Blade Yuka: Legendary sukeban who disappeared a few years ago. Rumor has it she got sent to prison, which she now rules with an iron fist.

Nariko's Associates

• Ryota Tanaka: Nariko's father, a struggling mechanic with debts to the wrong people. The two are very close, and would do virtually anything for one another. This often leads to him trying to shield Nariko from the consequences of his debts, but her going out of her way to protect him from the debt collectors. The two live in a very small apartment above the garage.
• Reika Yukimura: One of the most popular girls in school and, once upon a time, Nariko's best friend. Now her worst enemy, Reika is the source of many of the worst rumors that go around the school about Nariko. Not a fighter, but an excellent student and extremely socially adept with lots of allies because of this. Essentially, she's strong where Nariko is weak, and ruthlessly exploits this to her advantage.
