The galaxy will remember me

Prime Trait Sets

GUILE d6 | NERVE d10 | REFLEXES d6 | SAVVY d8

Distinctions d6

Profession d8

Independent Operator: If it's at all related to business negotiations, trade, piloting and logistics, she's done it.
Hinder SFX: Hinder: Sometimes a distinction works against you. Roll d4 instead of d8 to gain 1 PP

Background d6

Ruthless: She went from wrestling with three older brothers to shoulder-checking her way through crowds and shouting down bazaar merchants to killing an enemy officer with her bare hands. Whatever gets it done.

Hinder SFX: Hinder: Sometimes a distinction works against you. Roll d4 instead of d8 to gain 1 PP

Quirk d6

Intimidating: Unless she's only in the presence of people she trusts (including crew), she's aggressive, demanding, martial, with an unblinking and cold-eyed stare. Nice and polite aren't in her vocabulary, though Aanjay is working patiently to add them. Among people she trusts, her communitarian cultural background and military camaraderie drive her—but she still seems formidable.
Hinder SFX: Hinder: Sometimes a distinction works against you. Roll d4 instead of d8 to gain 1 PP

Attributes d4 Arrow03.png

Attributes are the second set of Prime Traits. They define your character's innate potential outside any specific training. One (1) Attribute die is added to every roll

Each character is ranked in four (4) Attributes.

| GUILE d6 | NERVE d10 | REFLEXES d6 | SAVVY d8 |

Guile: Guile rates a character's innate facility with charm, persuasion, and trickery.

Nerve: Sometimes you just gotta white-knuckle your way through. Nerve defines how adroit the character is at holding their grit in tense and stressful situations.

Reflexes: How quick are you? How accurate? Reflexes are all about agility, dexterity, balance, and aim.

Savvy: Savvy is a solid measure of a character's knowledge and understanding of the verse around them, its peoples, places, laws, customs, and etiquette.

Roles d6Arrow03.png

CROWD CONTROL AND TACTICAL RESPONSE: d8 Dealing with masses of people in stressful situations, riots, or panic, or confronting military or security obstacles. Soldiers and Police often rank high in this role.
DIPLOMACY AND COMMAND: d10 Understanding psychology and social triggers and being able to manipulate, organize, and inspire others to action. Ship Captains, CEOs, Companions, Diplomats, etc, all benefit from high ranking in this role.
ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS: d6 Facing and overcoming hazardous environmental conditions such as fire, chem spills, hostile atmosphere, treacherous terrain, vacuum and more. Firemen, Asteroid Miners, HazMat Crews, and Survivalists all tend to rank high in this role.
MECHANICS AND ENGINEERING: d6 Using, repairing, modifying, and understanding machines, engines, vehicles, generators, and appliances with a comprehension of design and fabrication. Mechanics, Engineers, and General Craftsmen tend to rank high in this role.
NETWORKS AND SYSTEMS: d4 Resolving issues connected to or involving information or computer networks and systems. Programmers, Hackers, and System Admins rank high in this role.

Secondary Trait Sets

Aanjay Dewi d8: Sunrise's assistant is a slight woman with a smooth charm, impeccable courtesy, and a precise manner. Aanjay handles a lot of the tedium of the career: keeping spreadsheets, accounting, wrangling government officials, filling out paperwork, and finding and relaying answers to questions involving facts, figures, and laws. She is trying to sand down Sunrise's many rough edges without drawing her boss's attention to the project.

Knacks d6 Arrow03.png

Knacks are specific specialties under a given Role that the character is just a natural at.

Knacks can only be used in conjunction with the role they are assigned to. Knacks can never be ranked higher than their associated Role.

SFX

SFX stands for Special Effects. These are rules exceptions unique to certain aspects of your character.

Big Damned Hero SFX

Once per scene, step up or double one Attribute die for an action. Ones (1s) and twos (2s) count as hitches for the roll.

Distinction SFX

Each of your three (3) Distinctions come with the Hinder SFX: Hinder: Sometimes a distinction works against you. Roll d4 instead of d8 to gain 1 PP

Additionally, write two (2) more custom SFX, each associated with one of your Distinctions.

Each Distinction may accumulate up to three (3) SFX including Hinder.

SFX guidelines may be found in the Prime handbook on pages 61-63 (excepting limits). Do not use the guidelines for distinctions found on pages 191-213.

Signature Assets d6 Arrow03.png

Signature Assets are assets that are fixed on the character sheet. They don't drop off at the end of a scene or an episode.

You have two (2) points to spend on Signature Assets. You may spend both on the same asset to get one (1) Signature Asset ranked at d8 or separately to get two (2) ranked at d6

Signature Assets might represent a piece of gear or equipment or a meaningful personal contact outside of the crew. Signature Assets should not represent innate qualities or skills.

Signature Assets are always rated either d6 or d8 They may not be raised beyond that.

OPTION: Instead of taking one or more Signature Asset, you may instead buy new Knacks or step up existing Knacks. One Signature Asset point buys one (1) d6 Knack or steps up an existing Knack one (1) step. Your d4 Role is not eligible for Knacks, and no Knack may be ranked higher than its associated Role.

Description and Backstory

Sunrise looks and acts like she owns the place, regardless of the place. On business, she prefers severe clothing in black, favoring leather, and narrow heels that make her heavy, march-like steps reverberate like gunfire. She looks like the wrestler she is; muscle is packed densely around her frame, and an hourglass figure as assertive as the rest of her around that. She has dark bronze skin, high and expressive eyebrows, strong cheekbones, a bold nose, and a mouth that varies from scowls to a Mona Lisa smile. Her golden eyes, set deep in her face, belong on a large raptor. Her straight, oil-black hair is pulled into a tight bun.

The fourth of five children, and the only daughter, Sunrise learned very quickly how to fend for herself. Her family lives in a poor neighborhood full of her people; more community-oriented than the Alliance Chinese city they were part of, they kept their heads down and tried to hold on to their traditions while dodging the attention of the giant military contractors who effectively ruled the city. She became hellbent on breaking the cycle of poverty and find a way to bring real money to her family without selling out. While setting out to establish herself and build supply lines back to her community, she met Nadezdha and the two hit it off more or less immediately. The war severed that relationship—Nat stayed civilian—and changed her, hardened her, but she remains devoted to her family, writing and sending money when she can. She wonders what happened to her old partner in crime.

Bound by Law

The authorities are looking for you. They just want to talk. Promise. What do they think you are guilty of? Did you do what they think you did?
When you're small time and trying to make it, you don't ask too many questions about what you're delivering to whom or how you're getting past customs. Honesty and wealth are a rare combination.

Friends in Low Places

You know a guy. Who are they? Describe a GMC your character knows well enough to call on for the occasional favor. This contact is a purely narrative asset with no die ranking. (Ranked contacts, if you want them, should appear as Signature Assets or SFX).
Xiang was a good man. He could have secured a comfy Alliance gig. Instead, he fought for the Browncoats, teaching Sunrise the delicate art of wartime logistics. Unfortunately, his nerves failed him and he fell into a bottle. He still knows a lot, and a lot of people. He's in civilian logistics now, although he's not nearly as sharp as he used to be.
