The Rules

Setting Rules

  • Gritty Damage: When a Wild Card takes a wound, they roll on the Injury table.
  • Hard Choices: The GM starts with no bennies, but whenever a PC spends a benny, it goes into the GM's pool and can be spent for any NPC. Jokers do not grant bennies.
  • More Skill Points: PCs start with 15 skill points instead of 12
  • Wound Cap: Characters can never suffer more than four Wounds in a single hit.

2 Unmentionables: Reproduction is out of the question. No other effect.
3 Arm: You can no longer use one arm. 3 = left arm, 4 = right arm.
5-9 Guts: You take a hit to the torso. Roll 1d6:
1-2 Broken: Agility reduced by 1 die-type
3-4 Battered: Strength reduced by 1 die-type
5-6 Busted: Vigor reduced by 1 die-type
10-11 Leg: Gain the Slow hindrance (Minor). If both legs are hit, or if you're already Slow, gain Slow (major). 10 = left leg, 11 = right leg.
12 Head: A hit to the head or face. Roll 1d6:
