Three Smiles

We CUT TO a sepia-toned B&W faux-scratched-film montage that is clearly a FLASHBACK RETELLING:

Blind Fox standing in the open doorway of one of his haunts, framed by the sheer white frame of dim daylight against the black background of the inner wall. He raises his head slightly, unseeing eyes staring at the roof as he seemed to sniff the air -

- and we CUT TO the interior of the room, the sharp square of light on the floor the only provided illumination. At the edge of the light, we spot the bottom of an elaborate, embroidered silk robe - a pair of bare feet sticking out at the bottom. A child´s feet.

CUT TO: Blind Fox´s hand closing in, becoming a fist.

CUT TO: An EXTREME CLOSE-UP of the bottom of the girl-child´s face, crossed by a nearly impossibly side grin of sharp teeth.

- and a QUICK MONTAGE OF STILL IMAGES follows, more and more color and detail being bled out. We see Blind Fox shifting into a defensive stance, fists out. We see the girl leaping through the air with predatory grace, long silk sleeves trailing behind her along with her long mane of hair. As detail bleed out, the battle commences - becoming mere sketches, stick figures, until we see little but empty pages of a sketchbook being flipped, one by one...

Little is known about Three Smiles yet, except that she/it is a Fox-Spirit in the service of the Black Crow King. Like most of her kind, she is a master shapeshifter that prefers to take teh form of a little girl wrapped in a rather too large silk dress - when she/it does not find it funnier to take the forms of the dead loved ones of her enemies or something equally perverse.

At the end of S01E06, she slaughtered the members of the Six Phantoms Consortium and crushed Red Star Dervish utterly, blinding the ganger girl as she/it did so. Will Three Smiles ever get payback for her/its´ unrighteous actions?!
