Background[edit]

The kingdom of Loristan has fallen entirely to Yozi worship and is ruled over by a family of Demon-Blooded Terrestrial hybrids. The cruel demonic overlords oppress the population through sorcery and a legal system that rewards informants. Torture and unnatural acts are considered sport by the nobles of Loristan and no blasphemy is great enough to satisfy their unholy appetites.

More despicable than even their Demon-Blooded masters are those who have pledged their souls to royal family of Loristan. In return for their obedience they are altered by sorcery and unnatural surgery into inhuman monsters. This "blessing" is in fact a form of insurance; what is given may be taken away with the wave of a hand.

Player Characters[edit]

The players may be of any Exalt type, though Celestial is suggested. The royal family of Loristan and its followers are an affront to Creation and dangerous enough to inspire even devout Immaculates to set aside their hate of the Anathema if it will allow them to overcome their demonic foes. Even Green Sun Princes will be acceptable so long as they are either rebels or acting to undermine the efforts of one of their patron's rivals.

A number of bonus points will be allocated to non Solar/Abyssal/Infernal characters in an effort to level the playing field and balance the characters at the starting point of the game. However, it should be noted that the other exalt types advance at a slower pace and they may find themselves in a secondary position quite rapidly if the game continues for more than a dozen sessions.

Due to the very wide variety of abilities on the table, each player will have to be fully conversant in the powers specific to their character as well as the dramatic and combat systems.

Rules[edit]

Exalted 2nd Edition plus the appropriate Manual of Exalted Power for each exalt type featured in the story. I could adapt this idea to a more generic set of rules, but it would probably lose a lot of the Exalted flavor.
