Act 3: Darkest Before the Dawn
Grr, writer's block. I'll use this space for rough notes until I can work up the gumption to actually splat out the entry.
Short version: Boameth's forges a crude iron dagger and tries to kill Alarun. Succeeds in offing one of his servants before he gets captured.
Alarun imprisons him in a wall-less prison - a horizontal sheet of stone atop a mountain peak, with no way to scale down. Leaves him there to die of exposure.
This time, it's the fox' turn to save him. As he shivers in the icy cold, the fox climbs up the icy slope and wraps her silver tail around him to keep warm. Finally, after a terrible night, the fox vanishes.
She returns moments later with the dagger clenched in her teeth. He takes the dagger in his hand, and as the sun dawns, he takes the Second Breath. The two of them set out towards Alarun's fortress as the curtain closes on the intermission
