BACKGROUND

Pagan is an alien member of the Arcane race, who evolved on the planet Prix II in the Black Shadow Nebula. The world was alway shrouded in darkness. The Arcana evolved as hunter/ambushers on their world, feeding on the blood of the prey animals there. As they gain sentients they almost all also grew in magicial understanding and learn to turn invisible and create illusions to distract their prey better. When they discovered the outside Universe they moved into the civilizations of to act as hidden predators within it. This has won them no friends are they are almost universally hated and feared.

Pagan is a bit of an oddity within his species. Not only is his magic and understanding of these forces greater but he does not wish to hide who or what he is. He confidence in his own ability and might has lead him to reveal himself to the wrong people and bounty hunters who imprisoned him.

You see most folk see the Arcana as space vampires and as such there is a standard bounty on them. Pagan is also overconfident and does not wish to hide his form or identity. Add this too his greedy nature (he feels he is owned these things simply because he is a great wizard within his species who are themselves all wizards

Powers

  • Extra Limbs: 3 additional tentacles like arms. Gain a +3 Gang Up bonus with limbs [6 points]
  • Infection: With a Focus check, one target within 6" must make a Vigor -2 (-4 with raise) or gain a level of Fatigue. On the following round must make additional check. Affliction: Bad Eyes (+2), Duration (+1), Stronger (+2) [7 points]
  • Decay: With a Focus check, one target within 6" must make a Vigor check -2 (-4 with a Raise) or suffer a wound. Can also destroy small odjects up to Armor and Hardness of 20. Stronger +2, Switchable [+1 points]
  • Poison: With a Focus check, one target within 6" must make a Vigor -2 (-4 with raise) or gain a level of Fatigue. On the following round must make additional check. Can kill a target. Deadly +1, Stronger +2, Switchable [+1 points]
  • Invisibility: can turn Invisible with a -6 penalty to being detected. True Invisibility (+2) [10 points]
  • Illusions: With a Focus check can create an illusion in a MBT within 12". Can move the illusion up to 12" a round as a limited free action. So long as the primary illusion is active their is an 'affert effect' of any damage it caused (to help maintain the belief of the illusion). Targets in the MTB effect are Distracted in the caster wishes. Targets also suffer a -2 to attacking Pagan as he appears a few feet away from where he really is. Affer Effect +1, Distracting +1, Obscurement +2, Switchable [+1 point]
  • Super Attributes: Smarts +2, Spirits +2 [8 points]
  • Super Skills: Focus +2, Stealth +2 [4 points]
  • Super Sorcery: Can spend a Benny on a Power Stunt and he doesn’t have to base the new power on one of his existing powers. Up to 15 points and a combat stunt last two rounds, while a non-combat stunt will last up to 5 rounds [4 points]
  • Toughness: 3 [3 points]
