Chehbraterazim

Chehbraterazim shifted uneasily as the surge of essence was released. He grunted dismissively. He had seen sorcery of the Celestial circle before, and was not so easily impressed. This city, on the other hand, was something else entirely.

He scratched at his scales and rolled over on the hastily constructed divan, turning away from the little wizard. This one was odd, very small. He didn’t cackle or threaten. He was embarrassed by his authority. It was a ridiculous situation, highly irregular, but the work was easy. Better than being summoned for some penny ante outcaste to guard his shipment of slaves, or actually doing his job. The jokun actually did most of the work, in fact.

No essence here though. He grumbled and clicked his claws against his scaled belly. No meat either, at least none that wasn’t capable of rending his corporeal form to bloody ribbons. A slight disadvantage, but at least that meant that they didn’t expect him to do any bodyguard duty. Just as well, considering where they were planning on going next.

Hmph. Wouldn’t be the first time he’d been released early because of some prince’s injudicious course of action.
