A Chuubostuck resource

XP Rules[edit]

Each player's first Arc will be to roughly 100 XP, as we got pretty far into them before we decided to speed things up going forwards. Afterwards, Arcs will be roughly 60 XP. All quests started after this point will require only 3/5 of the prior XP to complete, and all 5 XP triggers for those quests will become 3 XP triggers.

Dreamselves[edit]

Every person in Chuubostuck has a dreamself, unless serious shenanigans are taking place. Normally, your dreamself is asleep, and you cannot wake as them unless a special event takes place.

In order to become your dreamself while sleeping, you must have a Superior Dreamself, Superior Dreaming, or Dream Magic skill. Any action using one of these skills will allow you to wake as your dreamself. While using these abilities, you may be able to awaken someone else's dreamself temporarily, but their memory of their dreaming time will be fuzzy at best, and they will fall asleep again.

Completing any quest that helps you resolve a personal issue or understand yourself better can grant you the Perk "Superior Dreamself 1", at which time you can access your dream self at any time.

God Tier[edit]

God Tier is reflected by a mythical Arc. When you complete your first mythic Arc, you will die and rise as a god tier character. Once you are God Tier, you will likely remain on mythic arcs, but this is not strictly necessary; you could spend time reconnecting with your mundane life and resume a mundane arc.

God Tier characters are assumed to have "God Tier invulnerability" in addition to their usual powers - if they die, and their death is neither heroic nor just, they will return to life at the end of the current chapter.

Fraymotifs[edit]

If, at various points in the game, you would like to purchase a fraymotif that has no mechanical effect, you may do so. Alternately, you may claim purchased fraymotifs as quest rewards at various times, which take the forms of minor miracles that you can use as mundane characters.
