Fey Human[edit]

Humans vary widely in appearance, having been plucked from every conceivable corner of the mortal realms into the Feywild, and do not have a specific cultural presence in the land.

Most Humans who call the Feywild home were brought there as infants by one fey creature or another, usually with a glamoured fey baby left behind in the mortal realm in their place. Both sorts of babes are known as changelings, with the human babes often chosen for a potential of charisma the fey can feel.

Other Humans are drawn to the Feywild once they mature. Often against their will. These humans have a strange connection with the Feywild and an intuitive sense for finding the Crossings where the veil between the worlds thins.

Ability Score Increase: Humans are the least likely of the races to show a specific trend in ability scores. Increase any one ability score of your choice by two points and another by one point. Alternatively, increase three ability scores by one point each.

Size: Humans stand between five and six feet tall. Your size is medium.

Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Mundane: There is a 1 in 6 chance that an active Wild Magic Surge won't affect a human, whether that human triggered the surge or is the target of whatever triggered it.

Languages: You speak Common and one other language of your choice.

Player's Choice: Additionally, chose one of the two following racial features to define whether your human character was raised in the Feywild from infancy or wandered there as an adult.

  • Changling: You wear the aegis of the being who brought you to the Feywild as a babe and are constantly under the effects of the Protection from Evil and Good spell vs Fey creatures only.
    • Choose Sidhe or Primordial as a bonus language
    • Once per day you can cast Protection from Energy on yourself
  • Wayfarer: As an action, you can find thin spots in the veil between worlds. While in the Feywild, you instinctively know how far and in what direction the nearest exploitable place is and can control your crossing. While outside the Feywild, if you are within 30' of such a spot, there is a chance you will be pulled through at random. [5-6 on a d6 each round you are within range].
    • You are proficient in Investigation and have advantage on Investigation checks vs illusion.
    • You have expertise in one skill or tool you are proficient with.
