Introduction[edit]

You are a Borderlander, a Planar raised as a Prime on the Prime Material Plane. You have no idea about your heritage or the things that wait beyond what you know to be the 'real' world. But all that is about to change.

Oh you've heard of the planes. You've heard of the Astral and the Ethereal. You know the Feywild and the Shadowfel are intrinsically intertwined with the edges of the Prime and that the Elemental and Quasi-Elemental planes in turn intertwine with those.

It's all crap for high level wizards and the like. Nothing that encroaches on you here and now. Except it is encroaching. Whole swaths of the Feywild and Shadowfel are intersecting the Prime Material plane and manifesting their own realities atop the reality that's 'meant' to be there.

And you are beginning to awaken to what you are.

You pass a doorway you've passed a thousand times, but this time you see a world of water on the other side. If you walked through that door, you would be in the local seamstress' front room. But if you walked through it with a seashell in your pocket?

Windows. Doorways. Pot holes. The open rim of your drinking horn. Portals, you are finding, can appear anywhere. Some, like the seamstress' appear and stay. Others come and go at random. The world is changing, and for some reason, you can see into the mechanism of that change . . .

Game Resources[edit]

PC RESOURCES & TRACKABLES - Character Table that links Character Sheets and tracks certain expendable resources.

Recruitment Thread - Where we hammer out our initial character concepts.

OOC Thread - Major out of character discussion should go here.

IC Thread - In character posts go here. OOC blocks or Spoiler blocks can be used for mechanics, dice rolls, or brief ooc notes that relate to that specific IC post.

Absences Thread If you can't post for whatever reason let us know here or in OOC.

Orokos Dice Roller - As long as your dice roller allows you to link your roll, I don't have a preference as to which roller you use. Orokos is the one I prefer for my own personal use.

Roll 20 If you don't have the books and need to look up 5e stuff online.

Expectations[edit]

Post Frequency

  • I like a daily posting pace for my games as a general rule, with the understanding that posting might be less frequent on weekends and holidays, and if we can maintain that, great, but with the level of crunch 4 posts a week might be more reasonable for this game.

Post Absences

  • If you will NOT be able to post, for whatever reason, please ping us in OOC so we know what is going on or post to the Absences Thread (I pretty much check that thing every time it lights up).

Post Formatting

  • Please bold your character's name at the top of each IC post OR bold the first instance of your character's name in the body of the post. We all game with lots of folk, sometimes with the same players in different games; this just makes it easier to keep track of which character we're addressing.
  • OOC blocks are fine for showing dice rolls and brief OOC comments directly related to a particular post. Please sblock if you need to include large blocks of text related to your IC post. All other OOC content should go in the OOC thread itself.
  • Please link your results back to your dice roller.

CHARACTERS[edit]

This setting uses slightly modified character generation. Specifics are linked below and include ability score guidelines, additional available races, and background rules. Apart from the exceptions below, any of the core races/classes go, and I will probably allow supported content provided you can link to the material.
