Heritage Features[edit]

Privilege (Highborne): You have advantage on rolls to consort with nobles, negotiate prices, or leverage your reputation to get what you want.

Guardian Features[edit]

Frontline Tank: Spend 3 Hope to clear 2 Armor Slots.
Unstoppable: Once per long rest, you can become Unstoppable. You gain an Unstoppable Die. At level 1, your Unstoppable Die is a d4. Place it on your character sheet in the space provided, starting with the 1 value facing up. After you make a damage roll that deals 1 or more Hit Points to a target, increase the Unstoppable Die value by one. When the die's value would exceed its maximum value or when the scene ends, remove the die and drop out of Unstoppable. While Unstoppable, you gain the following benefits:

  • You reduce the severity of physical damage by one threshold (Severe to Major, Major to Minor, Minor to None).
  • You add the current value of the Unstoppable Die to your damage roll.
  • You can't be Restrained or Vulnerable.

Stalwart Features[edit]

Unwavering: Gain a permanent +1 bonus to your damage thresholds.
Iron Will: When you take physical damage, you can mark an additional Armor Slot to reduce the severity.

Bare Bones (Valor 1, Recall 0, When you choose not to equip armor, you have a base Armor Score of 3 + your Strength and use the following as your base damage thresholds:

  • Tier 1: 9/19

Forceful Push (Valor 1, Recall 0, Make an attack with your primary weapon against a target within Melee range. On a success, you deal damage and knock them back to Close range. On a success with Hope, add a d6 to your damage roll. Additionally, you can spend a Hope to make them temporarily Vulnerable.)

Who from your community did you fail to protect, and why do you still think of them? My father. While traveling with him and my eldest brother, we were attacked. My brother was injured. My father ordered me to get my brother to safety. That was the last we saw of him.
You've been tasked with protecting something important and delivering it somewhere dangerous. What is it, and where does it need to go? The Class Item I chose was the secret key. It came into my possession after the passing of my father. I do not know what it unlocks, nor where that lock is.
You consider an aspect of yourself to be a weakness. What is it, and how has it affected you? I am a curse to my family. My mother died when I was born. My father died because I wasn't there to help him (or so says the brother that I rescued at my father's instruction). I chose to leave home rather than risk bringing more misfortune to my remaining siblings.

How did I save your life the first time we met? (Tak) Taman arrived to find Tak bleeding from several wounds and surrounded by gang members...but much of the blood on the cobblestones was not from Tak and multiple gang members were too wounded to keep fighting. Taman brought the injured Tak to a healer that he knew.
What small gift did you give me that you notice I always carry with me? (Prototype) A wristband woven of dried cleansing herbs. Taman believes it will help to remove his "curse".
What lie have you told me about yourself that I absolutely believe? (Rose) M'Lady Rose has claimed to secretly be an exiled princess from an even more distant elven forest enclave, usually to con marks, but, well...
Why do you grab my hand at night? (Eliseach) At some function both Taman's father and Eliseach's parents attended, the children were being entertained by a storyteller. One that maybe wasn't the best at choosing what would be an appropriate story for our age range at the time. We both got very engrossed in something very spooky. At one point, the storyteller reached a very scary part in the story. Taman grabbed Eliseach's hand without thinking. Eliseach's was startled by her hand being grabbed and yelped. Eliseach's scream startled Taman and he screamed. It's now a short hand check in for "we're okay, right?". Minus the screams.
What have I discovered about your past that I hold secret from the others? (Rose) Taman seems to be in possession of a key. It was left to him upon his father's death. He does not know what it opens or why it went to him instead of his eldest brother, who inherited everything upon his father's passing. As a "princess", Taman was asking if she had ever heard of such a thing being done in her kingdom. He hasn't asked Eliseach to save face, in case it's something everyone in their social circle should know and he's just stupid.
What friendly competition do we have? (Hastig) Taman would love to be able to claim to be able to out drink a giant. Whether or not he can remains to be seen.
