UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

1. How did Mike maintain control over the Reavers?
   1. Were they Intelligent Reavers like Mike? If so, how many of them are there? Just on that one ship? Or are there more on other ships still out there?
   2. If they weren't like Mike, were they from the original population of Reavers from Miranda? Or are they a subsequent generation?
2. The Reavers seemed remarkably calm, more gorilla-like in their behavior, while in the hangar bay.
   1. Is this normal Reaver behavior, evidence of some sort of control exerted upon them, or evidence that they have evolved to a more intelligent/coherent state?
3. During the battle, Joshua spies stents implanted in Mike's forearms.
   1. What are they for? Are they meant to introduce something into Mike's body? If so, what? If not, what are they meant to take away.
4. Mike mentioned he wants Arden to help him make more Reavers better.
   1. Does this mean he wants Arden to make the Reaver-making process better?
   2. Or make the Reavers themselves better?
   3. Does either process require the stents in Mike's arms?
   4. Are they to facilitate making a serum from Mike's blood, for instance?
5. Mike is dead and Joshua lives to claim Rina.
   1. How does Joshua feel, knowing he's killed a man--his first since escaping Blue Sun and becoming his own person.
   2. How does Rina feel, knowing Joshua's killed the man she once loved?
   3. From a different perspective, what are the couple's expectations of each other on this issue?
   4. What are the expectations of the crew? Of the Wedding guests--Rina's and Joshua's parents, for example? Rina's old crew?
6. When asked how she would vote on renaming Equinox, Rina alludes to having to go without her name for quite a while--but she spoke of it as being in the past tense.
   1. Does this mean she's using her legal name? If so, when did she start? Why?
7. Rina was convicted of treason during war under her legal identity. She could not claim amnesty when it was offered because by then, she'd been officially declared dead. What sort of repercussions can she expect by reverting back to her original, legal name?
