Aaron Abernathy has just started to make his name as a guidebook writer. He's written a popular guidebook called Aaron's Guide to the 'Verse. It is entertaining, the latest buzz in the Core Worlds...and about 90% of it is based on non-primary sources, rumors, and conjecture. However, it is selling well, and Aaron is determined to come out with a second edition that is much more accurate.

Aaron's plans have been upended by recent events. An incident involving a colony world, an attack from 'pirates', and a strong Alliance response has resulted in Aaron paying freighter captains under the table to hitch rides without worrying about customs and presenting identification. This is likely to have Aaron cross the group's path sooner rather than later.
