Princess Samantha Hopeforge

Human Female Lawful Neutral

18th Level Video Game Princess

Princess Samantha is the blood sister of Princess Lisa of Thrane, also the daughter of Cardinal Kronzen. Unlike her sister, she was not sent to be educated in a nunnery but instead fostered off to the King of Breland. It was there that she was 'adopted' by the insane Prince of Breland, Stephen. When King Boranal was killed in a duel between Captain Jarlot and himself, thus was King Stephen elevated by Parliament with his 'daughter' in tow.

While, technically, this makes Samantha the girls' aunt, she has not been terribly close to them for reasons that remain unexplained. The possibility of a past relationship with Terra mixed with the fact that she may resent her sister for going on to happiness while she has been the scion of an insane dictator could well have soured her. That and the fact the girls seem largely unaware they have another blood relative.

Princess Sarah is, surprisingly, married to King Rose Galan of Aereneal and serving as regent of Thrane due to the young girl's issues with the common people. That makes her ruler of a significant portion of the Five Kingdoms and with the death of King Kaius, she's legitimately the next blood relation to rule Karrnath. Should anything happen to Aundair's Royal Family, then she technically would be the ruler of the Five Nations and Empress of Gallifar. Sarah has little interest in this title due to the fact she's deeply skeptical of the monarchy as a whole thanks to her father and past in Thrane.

Like most video game princesses, Samantha was kidnapped a lot growing up and was routinely rescued by a squat Thranish plumber named Nario. Before her marriage to Rose, she discovered that Nario had an unnatural relationship with his brother and broke it off to take up a relationship with the recently widowed Rose. Because of her experiences with Nario; Samantha still struggles with a toadstool addiction, crushed stars, and the eating of fire flowers.
