Rose Galan

Male Half-Elf Bard 10/Dashing Swordsman 8 Chaotic Selfish (Good)

Rose Galan is the twin brother of Terra Branford. The two siblings grew up in the shadow of their famous siblings while living in the Eldeen Reaches. Ultimately, Gaia chose to depart from the lands in order to journey to other woods. Rose, even at that age, decided to stay with his 'Uncle' Jarlot and learn a dishonest living. The young lad simultaneously studied the secrets of Bardcraft from the Old Druids in the Forest while mastering the cutthroat world of adventuring.

Ultimately, Rose went out into the world when he was kicked out of the woods for burning down the Great Ent. Thus, he met the Princess Zelda and her decidedly less pleasant sister Zella. The majority of the ballads of the Legend of Zelda are based around Rose's adventures even as they omit the majority of incidents with Zella or all the times that Rose had sex with Zelda's handmaidens when he rescued them. These adventures brought him repeatedly into conflict with Mordain Fleshweaver as the monstrous Lich King kept returning back from the grave. Apparently, no one told him that you had to destroy a Lich's soul as well as his body.

Rose eventually met the beautiful demoness Achika, whom he mistook for a human being. Seduced by the goddess Khyber's mortal avatar, he sired Ivy and his sister Violet upon her before she faked her death and he was heartbroken. It was under this cloud that he was invited to the Forgotten Freedom in order to be its temporary Captain. Rose immediately found the job difficult as their previous Captain was much loathed and it would take a special skill to become even more hated. Being a bard helped the crew's despising of him tremendously.

As Captain of the Forgotten Freedom, the style of command changed considerably. Rose's method of pirating depended much more on guile, cunning, and not wasting Red Shirts (as much). He was able to successfully negotiate around Lisa the Paladin on numerous occasions to make himself a tidy fortune that was almost shared with the rest of the crew on several occasions. He also brought his children into the crew and has since made them nearly as great a star as himself.

Recently, Rose lost his beloved Zella in a heroic act of sacrifice to her. He has decided to move on but has yet to find a love that is equally worthy to him as his former demanding and rescue-obsessed love. In the meantime, he's relinquished command of the vessel back unto Captain Jarlot thanks to the man's miraculous return from the dead. A part of him wonders if this means that death might not forever hold his love Zella either.

Roleplaying Hints: Rose is a dashing man ever with a quip, bit of wordplay, or mental puzzle that he's eager to throw over others. He's not a bad person but he's also of dubious morality in many cases.
