Wyrd: Mistress of Fate[edit]

High Concept: Maiden, Mother, Crone (subtle)[edit]

Wyrd understands life in all of its stages from birth to rebirth

Trouble: Adamant Chain of Form[edit]

Circumstance can bind Wyrd to one of her forms for a time. While so bound she is unable to access the two aspects associated with her other two forms

Maiden Aspect: A Story to Hear/A Story to Tell (swift)[edit]

Language is no barrier to the Mistress of Fate. And in her youngest form it is her constant delight. To hear the stories of birds and badgers, brides and boys, and to impart her own knowledge and inspiration to those who will listen.

Invoke to: Deeply understand the underlying root of what it is someone is trying to convey or to be certain that her own intent is conveyed clearly.

Compel to: Show Wyrd caught up in the delight of hearing a tale to the exclusion of all else or to illustrate a childlike desire to share her own tales, to talk and talk and not stop.

Mother Aspect: Eyes of Fire/Feet of Air[edit]

In her maternal form, Wyrd sees as a mother sees. The unfolding cycle of every being is laid bare to her gaze. She has only to think on it to see it. Wyrd can touch the strand of any cycle to make herself present with that cycle.

Invoke to: Focus in on key details of a fate to learn or teach some valuable lesson.

Invoke to: Move from where she is to where she needs to be within the weft and warp of the interconnected cycles of existence.

Compel to: To show Wyrd as lost in the details of a fate or focused on wrong or inconsequential details of that fate, to be misled, or to misinterpret the importance of certain details.

Compel to: Involuntarily move Wyrd to different locations within the skein of fate.

Crone Aspect: Left Hand of Darkness (mighty)[edit]

Wyrd understands the cycles of life, and perhaps more importantly the bridge of death that renews the cycles. This understanding makes her an avatar of Death itself when she is in her wizened form.

Invoke to: Gauge a creature's relation to it's own death or ease that creature into accepting what is coming. Nudge a creature into Death's domain or pull it back from the brink.

Compel to: Tie Wyrd's hands in perceiving a creature's relation to it's own death, to cause Death to linger but not take while in Wyrd's presence, to deny death to one who needs it or bring death to the innocent and helpless whose time has not yet come.

Stunts[edit]

Song of Change: Understanding that communication it what binds life to life, Wyrd is a fluid Muse. Once per scene, impart an additional free invoke to another on an advantage when inspiration would help.

Cheat Fate: Because of her intimate understanding of the Cycles of Life and the Mysteries of Fate, Wyrd is able to twist reality itself to escape defeat. Once per session, Wyrd can immediately turn a failed action into a perfect one (as if she'd rolled a +4 on the dice) but with a bizarre twist - something occurs as a result of the action that is completely unexpected which can affect even Wyrd herself.

Student of Life, Mistress of Death: A student of the fragility and malleability of the mortal form, Wyrd is Mistress of both. Once per session, she can immediately and fluidly force one other being to violently shift to another cycle of existence, even a previous cycle or death. This instantly transforms the chosen being's form accordingly, represented as a situation aspect [Disassociated] or in Death. Gods and other beings of sufficient strength can defend, but Wyrd gets +2 active opposition in such cases.

Mantle [Boons][edit]

Tier 1: Mistress of life in all it's forms, Wyrd understands intuitively both the physical and emotional vulnerabilities of mortal creatures. She can spend a power point to get a +1 bonus to overcome resistance when subtly encouraging someone to take action.

Tier 2: Wyrd gets +2 to mightily create advantages that magnify the strengths of one who has accepted her call to take action.

Tier 3: Wyrd can spend power to renew or end cycles on a large scale. Crops, Births, Deaths.

Mantle [Geas][edit]

Because Wyrd is the Mistress of Fate, a concept directly tied to the mortal coil and which the Gods live outside of, she takes a penalty equal to her Tier to directly affect other deities.
