Background

Ki was brought up by her heavily influential and affluent father, Dong Jiang, who works for the Chinese Ministry of State Security. Her mother was a British translator who died during childbirth. Her father retreated emotionally after her death and always remained distant from Ki.

Ki was raised mostly by various servants or associates of her father's and his infrequent and cold interactions with her resulted in a deep resentment towards her mother's death and the fact she was a girl. She acted out for attention by being a tomboy in her youth and growing into a selfish and vindictive teenager.

Eventually when she bloomed into a woman she discovered that she was incredibly beautiful and could use it to her advantage. This added arrogance to her already staggering repertoire of shallow behavior. She found she could get away with anything if she just manipulated people correctly and leaned on her family name.

All in all, though she'd never admit it, the only thing she's ever wanted was for her father to recognize her as his daughter and speak to her warmly.

After her 22nd birthday following a disastrous and embarrassing encounter with the Hong Kong police her father pulled the golden safety-net out from under Ki and kicked her out into a world that she had no idea how to manipulate.

Using her talents and her trust fund she managed to gain a job as a consultant to the tourist directorship. Which basically worked itself out to getting payed for partying with foreign businessmen and dignitaries. After working for a few years she was shocked to be visited by her father in her apartment. His first word to her in three years was 'whore'. He then slapped her across the face and informed her that the directorship was using her basically as an escort and a lure for blackmail. He then stormed from her home after expressing how ashamed he was that they were related.

Ki then devoted the next two years of her life to ruining the directors of the tourist directorship. Out of the five directors two commit suicide, two stepped down in disgrace and one was prosecuted by the Ministry of State Security and disappeared.

Over the course of these years Ki grew up quite a bit and honed her skills to punishing those of power that take advantage of others. Often in the most hurtful way she could manage. Her transformation vindicated her somewhat to her father as he unfroze her trust-fund and allowed her to socialize with his associates. He still has yet to speak to her again.

Her growth brought not only a certain maturity but a cold and cruel resolve to 'touch' the parts of society that deem themselves untouchable. Under her pseudonym 'Moon' she now hires herself out as a freelance 'equalizer' that specializes in destroying the most powerful elements of Hong Kong society and bringing them low.
