Lazarus Quick

Born on Boros to a family of cattlemen specializing in retrieving "lost" cattle, Lazarus had greater ambitions. He was an entrepreneur, opportunist and gambler. He wasn't great at any of those, but he was good enough to amass enough money to buy an old ship, a Trans-U, with which he plied the space lanes hoping to make his fortune. He traveled the 'Verse for years living a vagabond existences, a woman (or women) in every port, and the law frequently on his tail. This appeared to change when he met Delilah, a beautiful woman on Triumph. He had then enough money for a plot of land, on which he built her a small home and began to ranch. They had a boy, Valentine. Times got tough, but rather than sell his ship, or rent her out, he decided to return to the black,sending home cash when he could. He rechristened the vessel "Delilah" a pledge of loyalty to his wife and family, and he set out.

Soon he returned to his old ways. His wife and child were seen less and less frequently, the money dried up as well. Lazarus made a few friends,and quite a few enemies over his life. He rarely took sides, during both U Wars he happily profited from both selling weapons, trading information, medicine or food. He had a good heart, but was weak willed and always looking for the quick buck.
