Maenad isn't the only black sheep in her family. Mars, her older brother, was the first to ditch the family and relocate to the U.S. Shortly before Maenad's arrival, he became a founding partner in Pantheon Management, a talent agency and PR firm aimed at representing superheroes. Mae was his first client, and when they managed to spin their family's association with Roman themes into something positive (positive meaning lucrative, as a celebrity endorser for the Caesar's casino franchise), the business really took off. It's because of Pantheon that Maenad gets to be a full-time (well, most of the time) superhero and still live in lavish comfort, and why she has a giant closet full of superhero costumes from famous fashion designers. Mars is also working on a deal to get Drunken Monkey into the spotlight as a comedy kung-fu action star. So far, the best he's been able to manage for her is to come really close to a banana-endorsement deal with Dole.
