The Totality
The Totality won. Originally they were a race of separate, physical individuals. But they lost their name and became so much more. The entire species consciousness was uploaded into a neural network spread across a cloud of yocto-machines. The cloud consumed everything in their dimension, absorbed all the energy in their dimension, and became everything. Now they could spend their time re-arranging themselves into new galaxies, new species, whatever they could imagine. But eventually, their imagination ran out. So the Totality slumbered, until they were disturbed by a dimensional warp opening, and out spilled the Damocles operatives. They were devoured, their raw materials added to the Totality but more importantly their identities, their histories, their...creative raw materials Instantly the dimension burst into action, mixing these new ideas with the former inhabitants of their dimension they created a new cosmic order to play out.
Then the Totality realized something. Something was taking their energy. They hadn't noticed because they were slumbering but now that they were playing out a new cosmic drama, they could tell there was as much available energy as before. Using the consumed knowledge from the Damocles members they figured out where it was going, and burrowed a hole through time and space to reach the parasites. They burst through and now they are here to devour everything in this dimension to get their energy back.
