The Twelve Sins

The Twelve Deadly Gods route against the Watchmen is something they've been recovering from ever since as many candidates failed to make the test and others killed each other off. After two years, a relatively short period of time, the survivors have finally come into place. Strangely, Genai has renamed the organization the Twelve Deadly Sins and seems to no longer care that they are less for pure fighting ability than pure malice against the world.

They are named after the Twelve Sins of Silver Flame Theology.

Genai D'Deneith LE Human Male (Dustborn) Swordsage 11/Master of Nine 8[edit]

Genai is a figure whom is arguably the greatest Swordsman currently alive in Eberron. Humbled by one of the Lords of Dust, he's taken to the philosophy that was taught to him by his Demonic Master. Genai is blessed with a peculiar sense of honor but believes life is pointless except for seeking death in the most grandiose manner possible. It is noteworthy that Genai doesn't actually 'count' as a member of the Twelve Deadly Gods, so their number is actually Thirteen.

Genai represents not a specific Sin but Sin itself.

Melissa D'Deneith CE Human Female [Dragonmarked] Fighter 3/Hexblade 10/Ravager 5[edit]

Melissa D'Deneith

Melissa represents the Sin of Pride.

Volarun a.k.a The Beast LE Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior 8/War Mind 10[edit]

Like so many Kalashtar, he was raised in a monastary in Adar. Also like others, he was educated in the ways of the Path of Light and the coming of Il-Yannah, about the evil of the Quori and their Inspired puppets, how to use his mind as a weapon to bring about the Turning of the Age, etc.

Only problem was, unbeknownst to his parents or teachers, he'd been corrupted by Ulakhun, the soul of Riedra's greatest Inspired General trapped deep within the monastery he studied in:Kasshta Keep. It goes without saying that, because of it's influence, Volarun developed less...honorable attitudes. Soon after he was chosen to study the ways of the Talariic Codex, he killed several fellow students, stole the Codex, and fled.

Making his way to Khorvaire after finding no welcome by the Riedrians, he wandered the fields of battle, honing his skills before encountering Genai. The man's appreciation for the true path of the warrior led him to join the Deadly Gods, if only to enhance his already formidable skills. Both he and Genai know he will eventually challenge the esteemed leader to a duel for control of the group, and each eagerly awaits that day.

Volarun represents the Sin of Wrath

Keltis Dorran NE Dwarven Male Warblade 10/Deepstone Sentinel 6[edit]

Keltis Dorran was once the greatest champion of the Mror Holds and a mighty veteran of many Karrnath Campaigns. Then, his brother Korram's village was destroyed by the Karrnath army in order to steal food to feed itself. Outraged, he butchered most of them himself and abandoned the cause. When many dwarves tried to avenge the insult, he destroyed his honor completely by slaughtering them. From that point on, he killed everyone he encountered until Genai defeated him and gave him a new life. With the murder of his brother Korram, Keltis has become even more brooding and hateful. He's developed an unconscious death wish and desires to kill Genai before someone else kills him.

Keltis Dorran represents the Sin of Greed.

Jimmith Bluesummers CE Halfling Male Martial Adept 8/Pistoleer 8[edit]

Jimmith Bluesummers was left to die by his tribe because the Shaman of the Great Lawgiver (Aurreon) predicted he would bring great suffering to the world. The boy was then adopted by a couple who had lost their children in the Last War. By the time he was twelve, he'd killed them by burning down their farm and apprenticed himself to a House Deneith crossbowman.

Jimmith is congenial, pleasant, and a wonderful guy....but deeply f-ed up. At times, he believes he's taken over by the spirits of his victims who crave the deaths of the living. This leads to cross-dressing and psychotic killing sprees. Jim's not actually possessed, he's just got more neuroses than one could possily imagine. Jimmith's preferred weapons are twin action crossbows with six micro-bolts each. His article is here Jimmy A.K.A. "The Talenta Kid."

Jimmith represents the Sin of Betrayal

Mageddonna NE Demonforged (female personality) Wizard 5/Warblade 5/Jade Phoenix Mage 6[edit]

Mageddonna is a warforged anomaly of unknown origin. Her mithral body is of incredibly draconic design. That alone would place her as unusual, but her flame red hair and incredible magic-like powers truly make her stand out. While not one of the most skilled combatants of the Deadly Gods, she is still one of the groups most powerful members. This and her analytic abilities allow her to act as the groups defacto leader when Genai is off on his doing his own thing. Since encounter Zorlan D'Cannith, Mageddonna has become corrupted by a Quori spirit possessing her and has transformed herself into a Xoriat tainted Demonforged. Now she spends most of her time creating ever more perverse and vile things. Genai has not yet commented on this but it is quite clear that Magedonna is nothing more than a vessel for the White Queen's evil essence or one of her minions (Or both).

Mageddonna is the Sin of Perversity.

Zulthoom NE Male Lich [Aerenal] Necromancer 16[edit]

Zulthoom is one of Erandis D'Vol's many perverted disciples and the person who raised Morathi on the Isles of Aerenal. While not related to House Vol to any appreciable degree, Zulthoom willingly embraced the ways of undeath when he realized that he was going to be passed over for the Undying Court. An exceptionally old elf even when he was transformed, he has long white hair and wrinkles even when covered with an illusion to disguise the fact that he's undead. He gained his membership in the Twelve Deadly Gods by killing Berem. Zulthoom finds the entire idea of the Deadly Gods to be something silly.

Zulthoom is an outsider to the group and thus does not have a Sin to represent.

King Pinch CE Male Abberation [Halfling] Fighter 8/Berserker 4[edit]

The result of one of Magedonna's experiments, King Pinch has grown to obese proportions and size with the fact he's been given an eternal hunger and the ability to process far more amounts of food rather than simply die of complications. Covered in skin disease, the creature resembles a round ball with a massive inhuman set of jaws and glowing red eyes. His skill as a fighter is shocking to many even as he prefers to brawl and eat his enemies than use weapons.

He is, unsurprisingly, the Sin of Gluttony

Marius Carlyle LE Half-Orc Male Blackguard [Malcanthet] 13[edit]

Marius Carlyle is Gladius' cousin and Trent's grandson (technically this would make them Uncle and Nephew but neither really wants to get into that). A scion of Half-Orcs serving House Deneith, he abandoned that cause to take up the worship of Dol Arrah and become a highly respected Paladin. His heroism and piety was so highly regarded by the people of Breland that he was awarded the Countship of Starilaskur as a reward for his many brave deeds. Recently, he was engaged to be married to Meralyn of House Deneith when he took her prisoner and murdered the wedding party. He's also started kidnapping young women and taking them to become part of his harem.

Marius represents the Sin of Lust.

Xalf D'Shadowfast LE Male Valenar Elf, Warblade 13[edit]

Xalf is the most advanced student at the Saint Marie's Academy and certainly able to rank himself up with the best fighters in the Watchmen. Unfortunately, Xalf is a study in under-realized potential and half-realized dreams. Xalf is, disturbingly enough, a Cassius Du'Shadowfast wannabe. The illegitimate child of two Valenar from feuding clans, he never actually found out his ancestry and became a virtual pariah in his homeland. To that end, he has actually done something tremendously bizarre by Valenar standards and attempted to carve his own legend. Except, he did so by more or less imitating Cassius, the already legendary fighter.

Styling himself The Blue Hurricane as Cassius is the Red Comet, Xalf dresses in the same Heavy Coat and even styles his hair the same way. Xalf's apes the Warrior Prince's fighting style of Karrnath fencing, Silver Chalice dueling, and Dhakaani samurai battle stances. Xalf is actually very good but his military career is mostly a series of moderate successes that never really amounted to the mythological status he craved. Xalf figured by joining the Watchmen, he can actually gain some of his idol's great status for himself. Cassius is so far unaware that he's got an imitator but almost everyone at the Academy realizes it. Xalf is, disturbingly, one of Amethyst's boyfriends.

After Cassius' death and realizing he'd achieved little reknown for himself, Genai offered to train him as a student. He's become the Sin of Envy

Jkiliat CE Wilder 10, Hexblade 3[edit]

Jkiliat is Zeriss's "brother". In truth they are both simply scions of the daelkyr known as Dyrrn the corrupter. Jkiliar is every bit as insane and alien as Zeriss coupled with the fact the guy is quite simply a psychopathic sadist. He and Zeriss have a VERY rough past together an it's more than likely he joined Genai's band of fighters for the mere sake of having a shot at his goody goody brother. Jkiliat's levels in Hexblade are actually a sign of this deep empathetic hatred he has of everything spawned by his brother. And ironically Zeriss gained Paladinhood around the same time Jkiliat gained his Hexblade levels.

He is the sin of Hatred

Jezebel NE Female Tiefling Druid 5/Blighter 5/Planar Shepard 6[edit]

If you discount the black pools for eyes and the claws, Jezebel seems like any other Elf you'd run into. A former member of the Wardens of the Woods, she fell when an investigation into the Gloaming went horribly wrong. The twisted energy of the area awakened the Demonic blood sleeping in her, causing her to go berzerk and murder her companions.

Since her soul was first stained black, she has embraced it, even attuning herself to Mabar. Among the Wardens of the Wood, and even the Ashbound, she is considered one of the, of not the, greatest threats to the natural order on the Material Plane. The Children of Winter consider her a Prophet, but the few who have lived after an encounter with her know this is not the case.

She was one of the first to encounter Genai after he emerged from the Demon Wastes, and has followed him ever since he defeated her. There are indications that she serves as Genai's mistress, but whether it is truth or merely her desires is unclear. In battle, she is ruthless and can reduce any living creature to a dessicated husk in mere moments. She has fully embraced Genai's Philosophy, posthumously reagarding anything that falls to her destructive urges to have been unworthy of the life she stole.

She is the Sin of Sloth in its form as Decay.

Kuzo LN Half-Elf [Valenar] Fighter 7/Sorcerer 1/Bladesinger 10[edit]

Kuzo is one of Genai's former students, a ruthless and brilliant master of the blades that is arguably the greatest living swordsman currently in Valenar. Unfortunately, he's also a man that has lost all of his drive now that he's exceeded anything his ancestors had accomplished. Obsessed with proving his own legend and finding new purpose in life, Kuzo has been enslaved by Genai. This is despite the fact he's a national hero.

He is now the 3rd most powerful of the 12 Deadly Gods. He is debating killing either Voluram or Genai or Melissa. Kuzo is the Sin of Apathy

The Prince of Orphans LN Male Half-Orc/Half-Elf Monk 15[edit]

The Prince of Orphans is a babe that of uncertain parentage that utterly defeated Alexia and proceeded to permanently destroy her bow hands with a nerve attack to achieve his current position as a member of the Twelve. Trained since near birth by Genai at the behest of Kazandra, The Prince of Orphans has little personality beyond obedience and almost no soul or conscience thanks to the horrible mental abuses inflicted on him. He is without pity but also malice in his many acts of murder and revenge.

He is the Sin of Nihilism

Wrath of the Lich Queen
