Klesthes, The Golden Queen[edit]

History[edit]

Klesthes is the goddess of Beauty and wife to Yedan. She shares in his rulership of the Gods of the Cerulean Host. Klesthes is a somewhat vain woman, and is often taken to be foolish. However, she is keenly aware of how the relationships of her immortal subjects stand, and is quite capable of using this knowlege to her own ends.
Klesthes and Yedan
Klesthes was always faithful to her husband, despite the fact that he was in no way loyal to her, until he set her aside to marry another woman - Seyanne, the younger of the sprayborn. She has always retained her place as ruler of the Gods and resumed her place as his wife when he left Seyanne. She has not borne any of his children since that time, despite Yedan's legendary virility.
Klesthes and Emrill
Klesthes' greatest pleasure is in her grandson, Emrill. She keeps him near her at the Celestial Palace. He occasionally visits the mortal realm with his father Dauvion, but Klesthes dislikes like the influence this has on the child and doesn't let him stay away for long.
Klesthes and Parthos
Klesthes intervened in a challenge between a powerful mortal, Parthos, and Nerat the Relentless, God of physical might. Charmed by his youthfulness and good looks, Klesthes aided the young mortal in the Great Contest of Allesandra, helping him to win a contest he would otherwise have lost. In doing so, Klesthes ceded some of her power to him. Parthos is now her acknowledged lover, and part of the Cerulean Host.
