The Shadows Cyre and its sequel Wrath of the Lich Queen are RPG Play by Posts that follow the adventures of Eberron heroes that struggle are attempting to recover in the wake of the Last War. The adventure series begins with the foundation of the Watchmen, an organization devoted to stopping the Last War from occurring again, in the newly created County of Shadowfast. The organization proceeds to have numerous adventures against various parties fighting to gain advantage in the turbulent climate of the world.
The series is currently on its second thread.

- Always Chaotic Evil (played with somewhat but undead and demons in the world of Eberron seem to be genuinely as bad as people think them to be---except Mayalanthas)
- Armor is Useless (Siber is constantly described as going shirtless and wearing nothing but mundane clothing in battle.)
- Bad Ass (Trent)
- Cloud cuckoolander (Maya)
- Cute Monster Girl (Too many to list)
- Dark is not evil (Kael to a large extent. To a larger extent is the subtle theme that no one can get anything good done in Eberron without getting their hands dirty)
- Elegant Gothic Lolita (Muffin, Fury, Erandis D'Vol)
- Face Heel Turn (Melissa and Lindsey)
- Fantasy Counterpart (Thrane is Spain, Breland is USA/Britain, Aundair is France, and Karrnath is pretty much Ruritania)
- Ho Yay (A running gag with Cassius and Trent)
- The Kingdom (Caer Shadowfast)
- Light is Not Good (Pyriel remains the quintessential example as does Cassius to a lesser extent as the "evil" Paladin)
