Tharra owes me their life, whether they admit it or not. (Saved her in some back-alley brawl/mugging gone wrong)

I worry about the ability of Daelwyn to survive in the dungeon. (Especially if he keeps making those jokes)

Hawthorne is soft, but I will make them hard like me

Background

Something of a local drunk and troublemaker, Kyla has both a chip on her shoulder about people overlooking halflings and a somewhat vicious streak in her. Not that she goes out of her way to start fights, but she does tend to hang around with a nasty little grin when she thinks trouble is going to start. Not particularly educated, she's well aware of her limitations and has found a life only a step above a thug. She will draw the line at hurting innocent people or shaking them down for money, but she does rather like getting into a good scrap. Not willing to go 'adventuring' on her own - knowing her limitations like she does, she knows she'll easily get in over her head - the prospect of going down with others appealed to her. She can provide the muscle, the others can deal with less obvious threats and there should be some good fights to have down there.

Questions and Answers

Why does Kyla use her fists instead of a weapon?

If asked, she'll say that she can't lose her fists of have them taken away as easily as a weapon. If she were to be honest, though, there's just something more satisfying about the feeling of using her bare hands.

Does Kyla trust others to have her back? What does she do if she doesn't trust her companions?

As for trusting others, she's uneducated but not stupid. Others can be trusted while she's got her eyes on them, but mostly she expects others to be out primarily for themselves. Trusting them to be more than that is just asking for disappointment in her mind. She'll be friendly enough if they haven't actively tried anything against her, but life has taught her to expect others to turn on her when that seems like a good idea to them. She'll stay watchful and a little bit distant, and take care of them once they prove her distrust right.

What brings Kyla comfort?

As for comfort, Kyla always liked the latest part of the night, or possibly the earliest part of the morning. Those few, quiet hours when even the city is quiet and almost manages to seem empty. That feeling, or at least illusion, of nobody being around, of not needing to be quite so much on edge and ready for a fight is half the reason she tends to be nocturnal if given the chance.
