When the King Comes Knocking:Forgehome

A Dwarven mining fortress, recently fallen on hard times due to lack of leadership.

It is the home city of Radgat

Soon, you reach the great cavern which contains the Gate to Forgehome, also known as the Doorstep. The grotto is higher than you can see, and grand dwarven statuary holding torches are spread out along the walls. You reach a crenelated brass wall with a tall, arched gate. The surface of the wall seems to be mottled somehow, textured. When you get closer, you see that the wall is made out of layered brass sheaths of cut-out-silhouettes, depicting the ancient history of Forgehome. From the time of Russgarn the Builder, and onto the Plague Times and the great Wulfen Wars, into the present. At the top and at the base of the wall there seems to be some sort of complicated mechanism for rotating through the various sheets of thick metal.

You strike the gong beside the vaulted Doorstep. It rings deep and melancholy through the cave. From a balcony above comes a voice.

"Hail travelers. Reveal thy approach!"
