For year, Freedonians and the entire world have bathed in the sun of golden age free from criminal hate. Twenty-five years ago a vile fiend called the Atomic Brain set out to bring glorious radiation to the free world. Gathering a villainous horde he was opposed by the world's greatest heroes lead by the Freedom League.

No one would win that day.

A great portion of New England was devistated by the massive blast. Yet from the carnage grew a new understanding - what is told to be unlimited power now fuels America and her allies, as the fields of irrandiated ash have been harvested, through an ingenious technology.

For twenty-five years it has been an age undreampt.

But as with all things time stagnates. The Fens' corruption has festered... Mercenaries from across the world flock to Freedom City - the world's hub of commerce and influence.

For Freedom to survive, she needs heroes...
