Premise:

You are would-be heroes who were too young to fight in the recent Trojan War. For the last ten years, you have endured boasting from veterans of that war about their great deeds, and regretted that you were born too late to be part of it. But the recently-returned King Odysseus of Ithaca offers you a chance to make a name for yourselves...

Characters:

Starting Level: 5
Variant point buy for stats: 35 points, can buy up to a maximum of 17. 12 points for a score of 16, 15 points for a score of 17.
Hit Points: Maximum at first level, average there after
Allowed races: Human, Centaur, Minotaur, Satyr, Triton, Nymph (reskinned Elf, Eladrin or Genasi)
Centaurs are large
You can be a demigod or descended from a god. Build your character normally, and perhaps describe your high abilities as the product of your divine ancestry.
Sexism: Female heroes are allowed! While mainstream Greek society is very sexist, heroes are by definition extraordinary individuals who are not restrained by such things (e.g. Atalanta). I'm definitely willing to tone down or eliminate the sexism if it makes people uncomfortable.
The Gods: The gods are active! I will be using Piety rules adapted from the Mythic Odysseys of Theros Book. It is, of course, inadvisable to anger the gods.
Bonus Ability: Characters will get unique special abilities appropriate for them, which I will discuss with you in the thread.
Languages: Default language ("common") is Greek. Other languages: Anatolian (Trojan), Amazonian, Etruscan, Egyptian, Phoenician, Babylonian, Celtic, Hittite, Cretan, Atlantean
