The Knight: Advice to the Adjudicator

Though the list is not exhaustive, be aware of game balance and game effects when adding new descriptors. Bear in mind that descriptors with drastic effects should normally be placed in Traits rather than Boons, as Boons are very easy to come by in-game. Also, it is generally a bad idea to give Boons that encourage Knights to stay at home, as Knights are the key aggressive pieces in Summer Campaigns, and a game will stagnate quickly if you over-encourage defensive strategies.

Boons for the Knight

Destroyer

Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander in a Summer Campaign with the Pillage objective, temporarily add +3 to his Warcraft.

Hard Target

The Knight is hard to capture when in the field. During a Summer Campaign if the Knight is an Attack Commander and the battle resolution would result in him being captured, he has a 50% chance of evading capture.

Grand Strategist

The more armies the knight leads, the more his talents shine! Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander, temporarily add +1 to the Battle Rating of each army in that Summer Campaign.

King-taker

Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander in a Summer Campaign with the Checkmate objective, temporarily add +3 to his Warcraft.

Prisonbreaker

Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander in a Summer Campaign with the Rescue objective, temporarily add +3 to his Warcraft.

Privateer

Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander in a Summer Campaign with the Plunder objective, temporarily add +3 to his Warcraft.

Superior Warcraft

The Knight has +1 to his Warcraft rating.

Drawbacks for the Knight

Inferior Warcraft

The Knight has -1 to his Warcraft rating.

Traits for the Knight

A Warrior, Not a Leader

The knight enhances his warriors because he is personally a formidable fighting force, but makes little effort to actually direct the men. Whenever the Knight is an Attack Commander, temporarily deduct -1 to the Battle Rating of each army in that Summer Campaign, but also temporarily add +2 to his Warcraft.

One Man Army

The knight is a force of war all on his own, and neither needs nor wants others with him. Summer Campaigns with this Knight as the Attack Commander must have zero Armies with them, but can still be launched as normal. War Defences with this Knight as the Defence Commander must have zero Armies with them, but can still be launched as normal.
