Yumi Suenami (Demon Hunter Yumi)

Defining Moment: Yumi was visited by Kanzoutsukamu soon after her older sister, Yuri, was eaten alive by a demon on their first day on vacation in Roanapur while poor Yumi was forced to watch. She doesn't know who summoned the thing or why, and the cops, being the corrupt, bribe-taking lot they are, aren't giving her any answers. Granted with powers that enable her to take on the demons on their level, she has hired out as a demon hunter to the syndicates of Roanapur. Her ultimate goal is to take vengeance upon the demon that killed her sister and the summoners that loosed it upon the city.

Badass Type: Kickass (+2 bonus to all Physical rolls)

Flavas:

• Packrat -- When not transformed, Yumi is never without a weapon of some sort, whether it be a knife or a pistol, and she uses this ability to pull these. When in Mahou Shoujo form, it's used to pull her secondary weapon (a pair of wicked-sharp fighting knives) or a vicious arsenal of traps and nastiness.
• That All You Got? -- Though she prefers to keep at range, Yumi can take a hit like nobody's business.

Gear:

• Magical Crossbow (+2 Weapon) - When not in costume, this tends to take the form of a Beretta 92-FS. When in costume, it transforms into its familiar form, black with gold and red accents, which fires purple glowing energy bolts that do a bang-up job against demons and humans alike.
• Leather Armor and Red Scarf (+1 Armor) - When not in costume, this usually takes the form of a leather jacket and black jeans with combat boots, with a red scarf tied around her neck. When in costume, this becomes a nice set of form-fitting leather armor, with the red scarf lengthening to just below her beltline.

• Sylvia Fan Pei Hsi, the Gunner Saint: Sylvia is a magical girl who took Yumi under her wing soon after her contract with Kanzoutsukamu and taught her much of what she knows about demons and magic. She's known as the Gunner Saint because of the religious motif of her outfit and her formidable skills with the dual magical automatics that she favors for fighting demons and rival magical girls. Sylvia most often works with Mr. Chang as a supernatural troubleshooter, though she's also lent aid to the Church of Violence on a number of occasions.
• Anton Lamonte: Anton is a freelance demonologist who hires out to syndicates in need of supernatural firepower for jobs. Yumi's taken down several of the demons he's brought into Roanapur, but the two have only met face-to-face once, when Yumi needed assistance to take down a demon summoned by a rival demonologist. Yumi despises Anton, much like she hates anyone who summons demons, while Anton views her as a worthy, if fairly amusing, opponent.

• Megan: (Professional) Yumi respects Megan for her skill with the dual 1911s, similar in many ways to those of Sylvia herself. The two of them have fought together on several occasions, and often talk shop when they are at the Church of Violence, Yumi to see Sylvia and Megan to see Sister Magdalena.
• Susan: (Professional) Yumi occasionally goes to Sue's club in order to exchange info with her about some good jobs, or to get some info from her concerning people who have been there recently.
• Ashi: (Friendly) Ashi is one of the few true friends that Yumi has. They met at one of the graveyards of Roanapur, where Ashi's old partner was interred following the horrible tragedy that befell her. When the two of them cross paths on a job, it's usually the occasion for a world of hurt for whatever demon or rival magical girl happens to be in their way, and Yumi often finds herself volunteering if one of Ashi's jobs requires a little extra firepower. While Ashi's brutality would put off most people (and is sometimes excessive by Yumi's standards), Yumi appreciates having someone on her side that is willing to do what it takes to get things done.
• Xiahe: (Professional) Yumi and Xiahe are business partners when it comes to demonslaying. Yumi doesn't exactly trust her due to her background in the intelligence community, though she has given her good intel on demons in the past. Yumi prefers to meet face to face with Xiahe when they have to communicate with each other due to Xiahe being deaf, and Yumi has learned enough sign language to make herself understood when lip-reading isn't enough.
• Shizuka: (Friendly) Despite their differences in class, Yumi helped Shizuka get accustomed to life in Roanapur, much like Sylvia did for her when she was first starting out following Yuri's death. Though her primary prey are demons and those that summon them, she's agreed to help Shizuka track down the assassin that got away -- she knows all too well what it feels like to lose someone you love.
