A Chuubostuck character

Description

Age: 15
Chat Handle: CivilAdministrator
Residence/Relative: Arcadia, raised by his ace athlete Uncle (His Uncle functions as John's Dad, not Dave's Bro). You work part-time managing inventory for local shopkeepers.

Personality: You're lazy and a bit stoic from day to day. You panic easily in the midst of a crisis, but you've got resolve and tend to come through in the end.

Likes: You have an affinity for information tracking, and are generally up to date on your friends and their situation. You are passable at management sims and strategy games of a turn-based nature. You enjoy chatting with your friends, even if you're otherwise not very sociable. You enjoy collaborative projects, but mostly function as a go-between for other participants. You can play a nice flute from time to time.

Dislikes: You find face-to-face interaction and sharing feelings vexing, but are ultimately willing to risk it. You also resent exercise and sports, especially when your Uncle pushes them on you. He acts like your life depended on it, but what are the odds really?

Typing quirk: dead calm unless PANICKED OR RILED. You underline words and phrases that indicate the current state of a person or thing.

The HG can award you 5 XP towards this quest, once each (up to 20), when:

 • You have a “meet cute”—you meet a romantic interest, new client, new student, new important friend, or something like that in a weird way or context, and shortly thereafter there’s an unexpected moment of connection. (checked)
 • You give a thing or object that could reasonably be referred to as your heart to somebody, or something becomes your heart that you’ve recently given to somebody else! (checked)
 • Your friends knock you out, tie you up, blindfold you, or otherwise impose an extreme inconvenience on you for what seem to be good reasons at the time.
 • A grand plan blows up in your face! Doesn’t count if you fix things before the end of the chapter.

You can claim 1 XP towards this quest once per chapter by:

 • you wander a cool, exotic place.
 • you do completely unnecessary things to test yourself
 • you flail desperately at a social interaction, though maybe the other person doesn’t actually mind?
 • someone finds you sketching on the walls.
 • A stray cat or puppy takes utterly shameless advantage and walks all over you.
 • You dramatically explain something that either didn’t really need explaining or doesn’t actually make sense.
 • You show someone a trap that you’re building, or they discover one.
 • You rant about the difficulties of human interaction, probably tongue-in-cheek.
 • You have a pleasant conversation with some sort of horror.
