Late in the evening amatuer digital footage is taken of Brian Jaffe in Georgetown, Washington DC - apparently lifting a city bus. The footage is on-line before the night ends.
- January 20 - The Survivors wake up from their "comas", their location is Seattle Genetics an ally of Celera. The Seattle Genetics campus is located in Bothel, WA near Seattle. George W. Bush is inaugurated in Washington D.C. for his second term as 43rd President of the United States.
