Triarin - A Grey Elf [Shadar-Kai] doomslayer. Of a small and remote house of Grey elves to the North who live far beyond the normal paths of men. He is the only member of his house to leave...and he speaks not of that. Remote to most, of a wry mien with friends, he prefers to call no place home. Somehow always seems to carry a cool air about himself...

Triarin

His name literally means ‘He (who must be) without[his folk] (to go) through (leaving?, this path?). Something vague and Elvish like that.

Grey Elves (the Sador Cyr)

Which gave me the ideas... Followers of the way of the Raven queen, bringing their own elven slant to her reverence, Grey Elves are the Elves of the winter cycle, the time associated with death before rebirth. The Sador Cyr live far to the North in a land that is all day for a quarter of the year and all night for a quarter. There are less than 200 of the Grey elves living in their secluded woods and rivers, and they are extremely reclusive.

Triarin bore another name before he announced his desire to leave for a time, all those years ago. The first of his people to ever do so voluntarily, he gave up his name and his knowledge of his home when he left. All he knows is that one day, when the time is right, he will remember how to find home - for a day - and then he will have to make a choice.
