I am currently without a game or a group to play with. Klamath Falls does have players, but they are fewer and more insular than is accommodating. Additionally, I am very picky about who I play with and how I play. I run games with a focus on the players and I prefer to play in games run in a similar style. I have absolutely no tolerance for railroading or referees that either cannot or will not clearly define what their game is to be about. Introduction

I am Bill, AKA king_kaboom. A long time resident of Reno, Nevada, currently living in Klamath Falls, Oregon and obsessive game enthusiast. I've been playing role-playing games since around 1992 and running games for most of that period. Additionally I have undergraduate degrees in art history and sociology, and I just finished my master's degree in counseling and education psychology. All together I'm an over-educated kid who never intends to grow up. I was a former moderator for the Reno Roleplayers Yahoo Group as well.

I will be using this space to help coordinate some of my game efforts. You may also be interested in my contributions to the Exalted Wiki.

Collaborators

Mary played with me for more than two years. We began with Vampire the Requiem and covered a great deal of territory over that time. Her favorite game is Exalted and she has many contributions on the Exalted Wiki.

Steve and I played quite a few games including my Age of Apocalypse, Hyperstructure Aurora, and several Exalted series.

Games

Former

Age of Apocalypse is based on the Marvel Comics alternate timeline of the same name and powered by Wild Talents. It went fairly well for the group's first exposure to Wild Talents. Some errors were made but in general a good time was had by all.

Awaken to the Forsaken World is an ORE based game with influences from Mage the Awakening and Kult. This one didn't go as well as my previous ORE games. I was attempting to emulate the free-wheeling style of the old Mage and the group had difficulties with some of the mechanics.

Hyperstructure Aurora was my winter game project from 2006. This science fantasy game, powered by TriStat dX, drew inspiration from a number of sources and the names have been changed to protect the guilty.

The Last Best Hope was a Wild Talents game set in an alternate history of the United States Civil War. It only ran for three sessions but was fun.

Current

I am currently without a game or a group to play with. Klamath Falls does have players, but they are fewer and more insular than is accommodating. Additionally, I am very picky about who I play with and how I play. I run games with a focus on the players and I prefer to play in games run in a similar style. I have absolutely no tolerance for railroading or referees that either cannot or will not clearly define what their game is to be about. Please consider contacting me if you are in the area and interested in discussing games.

Future

Etholen Lost is an alternate setting for Scion I was playing around with. I may come back to this at some point.

Music of the Spheres is an idea I've got for Hunter the Vigil. This is really just a placeholder at the moment, but I could come back to it at any time.

Retrograde d20 is an idea I've been knocking around for a player centered D&D game. It's not a high priority at the moment but could be fun some day.

Shinobi is an ORE based game inspired by the Naruto series of anime and manga.

Warewolves will be a conversion of Werewolf the Forsaken to a near-future cyberpunk setting.

Other Notes

Mutants & Masterminds Characters.

ORE Musings.

Shadowrun 4 Characters.
