Forgotten Freedom:Ketler

Ketler ap Cannith is the son of Merrix D'Cannith and thus the heir of House Cannith if Merrix wins. Ketler honestly couldn't care less. The boy was playing with alchemy before he could walk and is quite crazy. He was kicked out of the House at the age 14 for "What may or may not have caused the Mourning" and has since wandered from port to port until he came to the Forgotten Freedom. Ketler puts the "mad" in Mad scientist as he mostly seems onboard the ship for the opportunities to steal large amounts of magic while accumulating what out-of-game would be called experience to put in his machines. A large section of the Forgotten Freedom is filled with thoroughly useless magical items and broken ones that Ketler assembles into various dangerous objects and devices that might otherwise be left alone. Ketler's insanity manifests in a curious way, as he seems fully capable of making pop culture references that are complete nonsense on the world of Eberron but would make sense on the planet Earth. This may have to do with the dimensional transponder helmet that he put on which completely fried his brain by making it a gateway to Dal Quor. Ketler has an idealized love for Jaela, mostly because he absolutely loves cuteness. Hence, he is responsible for most of the nightmarishly overcomplicated plots to get close to her. He is also thoroughly smitten with Marish and gives her about 90% of his share of monetary treasure whenever she desires it. He considers it due payment by her simply rolling around in it in front of him.
He is also known as the creator of John, Enlightened Dire Keel.
