Jog Falls on wikipedia

At nearly 1,000 feet tall, the Jogada Gundi waterfall in the south of India is the fifth tallest in Asia. Fed by the Sharavati River, four main streams break away at the cliff and tumble over the slick rock face down to the basin below: The King, The Queen, The Rocket and The Howler. Rich with greenery, the falls are a beautiful, breathtaking sight. Winding up and under the falls is wide stairway carved into the rock. Slick and often treacherous, these stairs are one of the few ways to reach the top directly from the basin. Hidden behind a curtain of water is the entrance to a labrynthine cavern system that plays home to the Marut Cult's temple to the Naga Crown.

The Falls are about 20 miles upstream from Sagara, the nearest town, and a little over 200 miles upstream of the regional capitol of Bangalore. A modern city reknowned for its gardens, Bangalore was the first in India to be wired for electricity (in 1906).
