Myths & Legends[edit]

In the beginning, the dwarven god Ghrnhrÿm awakened within the molten heart of the world and, seeking order, forged the Seven Wardens—divine beings embodying war, law, wealth, craft, knowledge, death, and magic—before creating the First Dwarf, Azükhr, and the Six other Fathers who founded all dwarven lineages. Together they built a subterranean civilization beneath frozen northern peaks and coexisted cautiously with other surface races until dark hordes invaded, sparking a devastating war. During this conflict, the Father Velkhr fell to corruption through forbidden magic, rebelled against Azükhr, and ultimately summoned the monstrous Deep Queen, whose emergence led to catastrophic destruction. Though the dwarves and Wardens defeated her in a godlike war, Azükhr was slain, the great northern stronghold was shattered, and dwarven unity collapsed into rival clans. In the aftermath, the Fathers scattered across the world, abandoning kingship, while a lingering prophecy foretells that when the Deep Queen rises again, the dwarves will reunite under a restored line of Azükhr to face a final fate.

Called Shudde M’ell in the common tongue; Queen of the Underworld;

Bÿhm Ÿhrkü is a mile long great grey worm-like creature that burrows through the earth, melting all rocks in its wake. She is the supreme regent of all Chthonians as well as the largest and most powerful of the race.

Bÿhm Ÿhrkü appears as a colossal worm with tentacles sprouting from its head, and is so large that it can cause earthquakes by simply moving. Shudde M’ell is suspected to have been one of the main causes of the great tremors that nearly destroyed the lands in the Great Cataclysm, when the Old Ones were thrown down by the Elder Gods and imprisoned. Shudde M’ell is said to be imprisoned deep below the surface of the lands. However, with the ever deeper delvings of both the Dark Elves and the Velkhr Dwarves, perhaps it will not stay imprisoned for ever.
