In the early years of Sibery's destruction the being's spirit was separated and took refuge in many different people and creatures. Some believe that the original carriers of Sibery's spirit were the ones who bore the first true dragonmarks. Whether or not this tidbit is true there is no doubt that those who carry Divine Sparks are almost always unique individuals with powers/skill and abilities beyond the will of normal men.

Many different people bear Divine Sparks. The Lord of Blades. Eradis d'Vol and Pyriel are a few. But despite these examples of extreme evil who wish to take the place of Siberys as the lord of all creation. Some seek to see Sibery's replaced with a worthy soul. One who deserves the title. These Couatl move through the world unseen and secretly assist and bring those who posses Divine Sparks to the light.

The Protectors of the Avatar are a group of about 10-25 Couatl. The most powerful having HD up to 18 and above with the less powerful more like the one presented in the Monster Manual. The Couatl seek unique and powerful individuals with unusual divine connections and seek to try and help them become champions of good. Human politics and affairs don't matter to them. Only the evils of Khyber concern them.

The Lords of Dust: Powerful demons. They are smart and powerful. If we had the numbers we once had we would do all in our power to stop them. But for now we must trust in the power of humans to keep them at bay.

Blood of Vol: Eradis stole her father's spark to become the Vile Lich she is now. She must be stopped at all costs.

The Lord of Blades: See: Blood of Vol.

Watchmen: The number of unique and powerful individuals intrigue us... but many are tainted and corrupt already and we'd rather they remain mortal than seek Deityhood.

Pyriel: He is dangerous. We do not doubt his power or his ability and we understand his ultimate folly. Pyriel cannot be allowed to live or even gain a semblance of our Father's power.

The Chamber: The dragons, despite their help in the fiend wars, are fools. They sit within their caves, on top of their hordes, and read the stars every day but whenever a matter concerning our father's soul is brought up they refuse to believe that any mortal man can take his place. Siberys is dead. We mourn his death more than any other. But we must move on if a new age of light is to be brought to us.
