The Seven Rings[edit]
He starts to read from the book, which describes the powers of the ring. One of the Seven Rings created by the wizards of the Jhonian Cabal long ago – before the Empire was even formed, in fact. Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Time, Thought, and Death. Used by the Cabal to exert power and influence. Lost and found many times as the Cabal fell to infighting and was reborn again, and collapsed as the fortunes of the lands around them rose and fell. And most recently, the one they found – Fire – was lost here in Athervon, almost a century past, when the country was reconquered and the Jhonians expelled. The mage who bore it fell in the battle, and the victors, not realizing its power, sold it as common jewelry.
