Cursed Ring of the Ghul
Anyone putting this ring on will be unable to take it off without the benefit of a Wish or Remove Curse spell. The Ring will slowly turn the person into a Withering Ghul-Kin (aka what the White King was) over a period of time that depends on their original alignment (AL will shift one step towards CE every year). The person who wears the ring can request one reward (wish) from the dark powers of the ring (which cannot be to remove the ring) that will be granted, although possibly not the way the asker wanted.
Selling the cursed ring (either to someone who is unaware of its powers or to someone who is informed of its powers) constitutes an evil act that would have implications to the character(s) doing so.
The ring was recovered by an adventuring party in AY1053 after they slew The White King of Asala in Athervon; it was given over to the Archbishop of Soirac with the intent that the Church of the Holy Faith would destroy it, or if that could not be accomplished, put it somewhere it could no longer harm anyone.
