• Satnak moved for a killing blow against Jarlot before she was blasted by the full force of the Silver Flame and sent spiralling on the ground, Jaela defending her father*

Jarlot: Poor fools. Do you honestly believe I will hesitate to destroy you?

 • he lifted the gauntlet and aimed it at the Forgotten Freedom as they raced to the Flame*

Jaela: NO!

Jarlot: GET OUT OF THE WAY.

Jaela: Or what? You'll kill me too!

Jarlot: If it becomes necessary. I've waited my entire life for the chance to achieve my destiny and rule all creation. I'll bring you back if I have to.

Jaela: You won't be able to! For my soul will be with the Silver Flame! The light of all people that won't be snuffed by your hatred!

Jarlot: The world doesn't deserve mercy after what it did to Aerith.

Jaela: The world didn't kill Aerith! Arijani did and now Terra is dying because of him! All this while you're playing god!

Jarlot: I'm not playing.

Jaela: What do you love more....power or your own daughter?

Jarlot: Power.

 • he charged his gauntlet to obliterate her and the Forgotten Freedom in one shot*
 • Jaela didn't move*

Jarlot: Damn you.

 • He cast aside the gauntlet then and embraced his daughter*

*EARTHQUAKE*

Jaela: What's happening?

Jarlot: The power wants to be wielded. That means that it is going back to Mother.....and now going to try and make one last attempt at creating a suitable vessel since Hastur, Arijani, and now me are gone.

 • Five Dragon heads emerge from the grond and a mammoth beast is born*

Jarlot: Behold the last living avatar of Khyber......Tiamat.

As Jarlot takes off the gauntlet, Liam is just about to dump the receiver into the Ebon Flame.

Ketler: Don't do it! He took off the gauntlet?

Liam: What? He did? Good, now we won't need a new Mi-Go Cannon.

Ketler: Um... Crazy Evil Jarlot has been replaced with an even bigger problem.

Liam: What is it?

Ketler: Khyber.

Liam: Oh, just great. Any chance the Mi-Go Cannon will help?

Ketler: Probably not.

Liam: Let's just get the cannon out of here, then.

Ketler: Good idea.

Liam: I think there's probably some betting going on at Erk's. Want to head there?

Ketler: You're just full of good ideas. Let's go.

Terra's consciousness floats on the border between life and death. A terrible chill grips her as she feels her body going into shock. It lifts for a moment as she hears Gaia's voice again.

Gaia: Well done. I expected no less from you.

Terra: *weakly* Is he...really gone? Is Lisa ok?

Gaia: He's gone for good. Lisa is with you, watching over you.

Terra: Am I...going to...die?

Gaia: That is a possibility. You took a wound that would have killed nearly any mortal on the spot.

Terra: What about Captain Jarlot?

Gaia: The power has left him, but has sought another.

Terra: I...have to help them...they need me...

Gaia: You are in no condition to do anything. It is a miracle in and of itself that you still cling to life.

Terra: But...

Gaia: Your part in this battle is done. You have done all you could, and have rid the world of a horrific evil. If it was even possible, I'm more proud of you now than I have ever been.

Terra: Mother....I miss you so much...

Gaia: I know, dear. I will stay with you a while longer. Right now, you must concentrate on staying alive. Let your friends deal with the rest of the battle, and let Lisa take care of you.

Terra: I feel...something warm...wet...

Gaia: She is crying for you. She want's you to live.

Terra: I will... For her...I will live...

(back in reality)

Lisa's tears turn from fear to relief as she feels Terra's heartbeat strengthen slightly and her breathing regulate. She still needed help urgently, but she might now last till it got there.

Satnak - Finally I can stop holding back. HURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH

Four grey ribbons of crystal slice through the skin of Satnak's back, and stream at the five headed beast.

Satnak - NO PATHETIC DIETY CAN OUT FIGHT THE BREAKER PRIME. MY STRENGTH IS MY OWN. YOU WILL NEVER MATCH IT FOR THAT REASON ALONE. ALL YOU HAVE IS FROM THE WORK OF YOUR FOLLOWERS. NEVER YOUR OWN BLOOD AND SWEAT. EVEN NOW YOU OWE YOUR PRESCENCE TO THOSE YOU HAVE MANIPULATED. YOUR SO CONFIDENT IN YOUR DIEFIC PERFECTION, FEEL THE WRATH OF A FLAWED MORTAL AND KNOW THE AGE OF THE GODS IS CLOSING!!!

The ribbons slice through the hide and hide of Tiamat with no idication that its anything other than air. Bone offers little more resistance.

All five dragons spew forth their breath only to watch it chanelled along the interposing ribbons right back at the great beast.

Satnak - I am smarter than you cretin. No matter how much more energy you toss at me my control exceeds yours through many years of Sacrifice. Now let your existance end.

Milaji -             (in reidran) I'm gonn die, i'm gonna die, I'm gonna die...etc.

Though Satnak is destroying it avitar, Khyber still exist in another form. In a small demi-plane, untouched by what is happening outside, Khyber meets with 13.

Khyber: I tried, my child. I failed you. I failed to shatter the Prophecy.

13: I don't blame you. I don't blame Siberys.

Khyber: But you do place blame.

13 lets out a long breath.

13: I still blame the mortals, those who so desperately want to know what tomorrow holds. I know why they they desire it, but not why they do not see that it then controls them and grows in power from the consumtion of their life.

Khyber: So it is then hopeless.

13: No.

Khyber: What?? But once the Prophecy took hold there is no way to shatter it! It controls the forces of the world now, the lightening, the frost, the heat, the shadow. It controls the souls of the mortals.

13: Not all of them.

A pool opens up, letting them see through to the battle being waged by the crew of the Forgotten Freedom.

13: Some of them live their own lives. It is true, a few, like Sa'vor, believe in letting their lives be determined. But others, such as Kithle and Terra, act how they wish, and through that small act they weaken the Prophecy.

Khyber: So then one day may it be shattered?

13: That is unknown.

There is a collective groan from the spectators in Erk's Place.

Doog: Aw, man!  :( (looks over the betting sheet) Okay, who had money on Jarlot giving up the power?

Erk and Igor raise their hands.

Doog: I just have one question: how did you know?

Erk: Jarlot never really wanted power. What he wants is really control. Especially control over what happens to him. It was simply a matter of deducing that Thanatos was a "control destiney" facet Jarlot's, and that Jarlot's core would not allow that.

Doog: Okay, but what about Igor?

Igor: It'th tradithionel.

Doog: Y…your joking me.

Igor: Whenever a child goeth up againtht their powerful evil parent the child alwayth getth their victory condithion. If the child witheth to thave the parent from evil, that ith what happenth.

Doog: Well, at least we still have Terra beating up Ariajni…

Sa'vor was finaly beggining to feel the effects of battle, the Adrenalin of battle had receeded. the bruises and cuts began ache, even as his regenerated. the blood lust sank back into the depths, sated once more. he closed his eye's and reached forwards into the future once more. all was as it should be... at least for now. it was then that he caught another image, somthing dark and shadowy, completly enveloping a single figure. the figure was .... a young girl. this darkness was concuming her, slowly the girl started to move back in time, the darkness receeding untill it was only a small form above one shoulder. then time moved forwards again, the darkness soon enveloping the figure. it went further into the future and the young girl began to twist and change. her skin paled, her eye's became black orbs... like the void. it was then that a voice of silver spoke unto Sa'vor

Voice: this shall not come to pass. be watchful, for soon the time shall come Sa'vor, shall you be free or shall you devote yourself to the prophecy. the prophecy cannot be threatened, renember the girl. when you meet her you shall know what to do.

Sa'vor smiled, so his mistakes where forgiven. he opened his eye's once more, Naz'roth and Tara had left the battlefield and returned to the forgotten freedom. Feal-Thas was sending the troops through the portals. the rest of the crew where slowly wandering back to the ship. Sa'vor proped himself against a rock and withdrew a equisite set of pan-pipes. he began to play softly, it was an old song. like most old songs it held some power. Sa'vor knew there would be little victory meals or drinks today, most where wounded and the thoughts of battle still fresh in their minds.

after many hours of playing, Sa'vor glanced over to the forgotten freedom, it soared once again into the sky. Sa'vor closed his eye's and leaned back against the rock once more, there was plenty of time. he would catch up eventualy.

roosevelt I wonder when he's going to reaalize his feet are pink.

Chalky - given the last time,... 2-3 posts

Geset - *whaps chalky upside the head*

Chalky - OW

Geset - well I better head home, drop us a line once in while would ya?

Chalky - Fine

Whap.

Chalky - OW

Geset - Bye

Nalfien: Hey if all of the other gods have been defeated doesn't that mean we have no reason to bring the realm of dreams closer? Volrath: Yeah, by bringing it closer we're just screwing everybody by making the quori closer and Hastur stronger if summoned. Nalfien: So we destroy the obelisks, and stop saying his name. Volrath: Okay. Bet I can kill more inspired than you! Nalfien: You're on!

Lisa kneels over Terra crying. Terra’s heart was fading again and all Lisa’s healing had been for naught. She feels Terra’s soul move from this realm and screams to the heavens amidst the fallen.

She’d thought it would end. All the suffering, all the misery, all the insanity, all the fighting, she thought it would stop when she and Terra found each other. But the world seemed set against them. The rest of the crew would celebrate the victory; she would only mourn the passing of the only one she’d ever loved.

From nowhere she heard a voice cry out. Somewhere in the back of her mind she recognized Terrek’s deep boom. A moment later he stood beside her looking down at Terra. Lisa looked up as he spoke.

Terrek: (looking down at Terra and speaking softly) You idiot. You knew you couldn’t handle all that power. You won, but your body was never meant to harness that much energy. But maybe…

Terrek’s chains lash forward and grip Terra’s dying form. They draw her body upwards, away from the still crying Lisa, who looks on in anticipation, fear, and anger. Terrek draws Terra’s form upward and clasps her head between his gauntleted hands, leaning his forehead against hers. Black tendrils of energy flow along the chains from Terra’s body and black flames erupt from Terrek’s gauntlets. He opens his eyes and stares into hers as black energy erupts from them. Terrek throws back his head and screams and energy erupts from his mouth.

Terrek staggers backwards folding his massive wings around himself as he sets Terra’s body to the ground. Her body heaves as she begins to cough blood. Lisa rushes over to hold her and feels her heart beat once more. Terra would live.

Terra’s eyes flutter open and she looks at Lisa. The two share a moment of relief before turning to look at Terrek.

He glows with the dark energy for a moment before letting it seep into himself. He stands there for a moment, spreading his wings and flexing his muscles before turning to look at the girls. His gaze drops immediately to Terra and he speaks.

Terrek: You were a fool. I have been training myself for hundreds of years to wield that kind of power. It nearly destroyed you in your lust for revenge. If I hadn’t foreseen that as a possibility it would have consumed you and in the process created something much worse than Ariajni could have ever been. Be grateful for my presence.

Terrek turns to Ariajni’s body. It lies bleeding and broken life would leave it in moments; it was only his iron will that kept it alive after such a brutal punishment.

Terrek’s chains lash out once more, all four striking Ariajni in the chest. Then they ripped his torso asunder, swallowing the last bit of the demi-god’s soul in the process. Ariajni’s body now lay in four pieces; the leg Satnak ripped off, reformed into a blade, the rest of the lower body from where Terra had cleaved him in half, and the two pieces of the upper torso which Terrek had just ripped apart.

Terrek turns back to Terra once more and speaks.

Terrek: Never forget that I saved your life this day. I will expect to be repaid…

With that, Terrek turns away and flies off, leaving the girls alone. Lisa helps Terra to her feet and they begin the long trek back to the ship…

Back on the FF, the infirmary has finally begun to calm down. Still unconscious, Terra sleeps soundly. Mickey had managed to patch her up after some rather intensive surgery, and it seemed she would recover fully in time. Lisa sits by her bed, refusing to budge.

Satank: You've been here for the last three hours. Please, you need to sleep.

Lisa: ...

Satnak: How long did you spend tending to the wounded? How long has it been since you've eaten?

Lisa's stomach rumbles, but still she does not respond.

Satnak: Fine, you can stay here. I'll get you a blanket and something to eat. Just promise me you'll at least try to get some rest.

Lisa nods as Satnak walks off. Satnak had reminded her just how tired she was, and she struggled to keep her eyes open. Laying her head on the bed, she falls asleep almost immediately...

Terrek hears a voice in his head as he heads for the ship.

Gaia: You think she did that for revenge?

Terrek: What?

Gaia: Terra is no longer the woman you have been watching for so long. She has a new purpose. She wielded that power in defense of one she loved. That power she now holds is not what nearly killed her.

Terrek: Her life force was so weak...

Gaia: You forget, Ariajni was a Cleric of the Fury as well as a demi-god. That blow he dealt sent her life force into a slow downward spiral. I was unsure of whether she could have stopped it herself, and for saving her, I thank you.

Terrek: Who are you?

Gaia: Ask Terra again after she recovers. For now, accept the fact that I am a part of her. Terra repays her debts, but tread lightly when requesting it. The darkness no longer holds sway over her. Her path is no longer set. She is free.

again y'all crazy :looloo:

OORampant: Thats like saying water is wet. :D

Silver - Agreed

Bunny - Indeed

OORampant - GAH what are you 2 doing here!?!

Silver - Nothing at all.

Bunny - Quite literally.

Satnak - Oi Terrek a minute.

Terrek - Yes

Satnak - (headlocks Terrek) Let those two have their honey moon before you start calling in favors. That goes double for you people. *GLARES AT POSSTERS*

OORampant - RUN AWAY!!!

Norbaz: Sometimes...sometimes...damn the stuff that happens on this ship straight to khyber.

Tiamat: Do you honestly think that your sacrifices mean anything Satnak?

Satnak: WHAT!? How...

Tiamat: The physical thing you see before me is not my body. It is merely a projection of how I wish to appear to the world. You are typical of your kind in that you think your struggles matter.

Satnak: They...

Tiamat: I have suffered watching the STARS DIE. I have watched as eons of human generations have lived and died and seen entities I have loved or loathed for millions of years wither away. You are an insect. One I snuff the power of.

Satnak: It's...not....it's an ILLUSION. I have my power.

Tiamat: Jarlot was right. Sacrifice is a source of NOTHING. It is a hollow victory born by those whom want to be martyrs. The real power comes from LOVE, PASSION, FRIENDSHIP, AND HATE! What do you love and hate? Nothing and you are as hollow and empty as anything. I will not even waste my power trying to kill you. I will however SNUFF this planet.

Jarlot: Gentlemen...we are boned.

Terrek smiles and looks at Satnak.

Terrek: Okay, I’ve got three things to tell you. First, my skull is encased in metal. Second, I’m a masochist, so any pain you inflict on me feels goooood…. Lastly, I’ll call in favors whenever I want. Don’t expect me to be intimidated by you miss breaker. I’m a powerhouse in my own right and fear nothing. But in the interest of maintaining some semblance of order, and cause I’m just a nice guy, I won’t call it in till later. Unless I really need to…

Terrek fades into the shadows, returning to his own plane.

Still sleeping, Terra again calls to Gaia.

Terra: Will you tell me what you really are now?

Gaia: *chuckle* If it will put your mind at ease. Remember, I will only continue as long as you are able. And don't try to fool me, I'll know when that is.

Terra: ...ok.

Gaia: I was sent from Syrania as your guide after you escaped Theronas. We had been watching him for a while, and knew about his deal with Ariajni. We did not know his goal, but Ariajni's interest in you was clear.

Terra: You're an Angel?

Gaia: Using present tense on me is incorrect. I was an Astral Deva.

Terra: But...I'm speaking to you now...

Gaia: I told you. You have part of my soul bound to you. That is the part of me speaking to you now. My true self was destroyed the day he attacked me.

Terra: If that is true, why have you waited till now to speak to me?

Gaia: When I was still alive, there was no need. But when I died, I was virtually sealed off by your darker side. I communicated with you as best I could, but I could never muster more than a nudge.

Terra: You said things had changed. What has allowed you to come out?

Gaia: She is sleeping next to you right now.

Terra: Lisa?

Gaia: Indeed. She has healed you in a way that was impossible for anyone else. Should you have never met her, your demonic heritage would have overwhelmed you as soon as it was released. She was the light that pierced the darkness of your soul.

Terra: What was that power? I felt two forces flowing through me. One was shadow, the other...

Gaia: Was the light I granted you when I found you. Your body holds demonic power, your soul, angelic.

Terra: So, what am I, then? Angel? Demon? Elf? Kalashtar? (OOC: The spirit from Not-Walter)

Gaia: You are all of those, and yet you are none. Most importantly, you are you. No one can ever take that from you. You now have what you always thought you did. Your life is in your own hands. Do with it what you wish...

Terra feels Gaia's presence lessening, but does not want her to leave just yet.

Terra: Please wait! What will happen to you?

Gaia: My true self is gone, and this part of me has been reunited with the rest of you. Eventually, I will be absorbed completely. Your power will only grow as this happens, but all power comes with sacrifice...

Terra: I lose you for the second time...

Gaia: Yes. But you must not cry forever. You have a wonderful wife and true friends. They are your family, and they will look after you now that I cannot.

Terra starts to speak, but Gaia cuts her off.

Gaia: Now you need to rest. It will be some time before I am unable to communicate. We can talk later.

Satnak - Snuff this world and I will walk away. You will wither without mortals to define your existance. Jarlot was right when he said that he enjoyed his power more, he was right about me when he said for all my strength i had little else, but he was wrong about one thing. I want it, I want it more than any of you, thats why I walk my path. True power must be earned, true strength must be forged. Sacrifice means nothing to a creature like you, but to us mortals... our lives are a constant sacrifice. Each moment, each decision is a sacrifice of possibilities. Life is dying slowly. Go away and leave us alone if we are so insignificant let us be. I have sacrificed almost half my life, and accomplished more than you managed in all your long immortality. You do not grow, you do not learn, you can't keep up with mortals. We are meaner than you. Yes you can hurt me, yes you might even be able to kill me. You can't stop me from fighting though.

Silver: Shouldn't she, like, spontaneously disintegrate after having spouted off that kind of a cliché villain speech?

Bunny: She's got a point, that's probably why.

Silver: Maybe Tiamat'll ignore someone really weak, and then they'll discover they have a hidden power, brought out by friendship, that can defeat Tiamat in one blow.

13: Okay, that would spontaneously combust around here.

Bunny: From cause of Satnak.

They watch the standoff alongside Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot. At some point Silver looks up into the air.

Silver: Did anyone remember to send Thyrs home?

13: No. Why?

They all look up. Thyrs in still flying overhead in the rain-soaked stormclouds. Tiamat looks up as well.

Tiamat (multiple-head voice): You think that you can defeat me? You, the weak child?

Thyrs dives toward Tiamat.

13 (magnified voice): Thyrs doesn't think. That's one of its good points.

Norbaz: Damn it, work, work!

The half giant struggles to blindly activate the rune slab in his hand...unaware that he had succeeded in activating it until a moment later a series of ruins on the continent of Xendrik, both above and below ground, surged with energies not tapped since the ages long forgotten and showering the continent in glorious light, forming in a sphere of brilliance hundreds of miles into the sky, beyond the atmosphere of the world of Eberron. The light descends to the world and when it dissipates there is a adamantine warforged Tarrasque covered in rune engravings like a circuit board across its form, staring at the image of Tiamat.

Norbaz: Well I wasn't expecting that.

WF Tarrasque Tablet: Awaiting command.

Norbaz: Uh...okay...think of what you say to a freshly made forged....Assit designate Breaker Prime in comfronting designate Khyber. Allow assistance from Crewmembers of Designate Forgotten Freedom. Begin combat.

WF Tarrasque: Discerning Target. Target Avatar acquired...discerning true origin power source, begining attack sequence, objective source power disruption.

The beast faces its head to the ground below and opens its maw wide. From it a powerful ray lances through dirt and stone, before the beast and Satnak phases through the generated debris, until some span of time into the blast that the debris begins bouncing off of Tiamat's hide.

Satnak: Heh, now you're solid...its my time to shine.

An image of Volrath appears in Terra's head.

Volrath: Even if Lisa hadn't been there the shadow wouldn't have overcome you.

Terra: Thanks, but I don't think that I would have had the strength alone.

Volrath: You weren't alone Urial, Not-Walter, and I were there for you. We might not have defeated the shadow with light, but we wouldn't have let it take control of you. The shadow would have been consumed by a different darkness, a primal horribly alien darkness. It would have been a darkness from the hearts of those that care for you. We may not be the paragons of virtue, but we'll always be there to help.

Terra: Alright that's nice, but how did you know what Gaia and I were talking about.

Volrath: I'm constantly scanning your mind for anything unusual.

Terra: That's really creepy.

Volrath: Sorry. Well got to get back to killing inspired.

Meanwhile in the ships lowwer decks

Beryl: P/Y/R,what is this place?

P/Y/R: This is the clinic for the rehabilitation of those with strange fetishes. I am trying to help some of this ship's most hopeless cases.

They first walk to a room with has a bed and a blue furry monster standing in it. P/Y/R lifts up the matress to find a plate of chocolate-chip cookies.

P/Y/R: Cookie Monster, what are these doing here?

Cookie Moster: I don't know. Um, um Devon was in here, making the bed. Maybe he stashed 'im here. Maybe it was him.

Cookie monster grabs the plate and shallows all the cookies at once. P/Y/R pushes him down on the bed and pulls out a syringe.

Cookie Monster: Grra, you guys are frickin nazis. You're frickin nazis.

P/Y/R puts the syringe in him. He then calms down and goes to sleep. Next they go to a diferent room. This one has Ketler stapped naked to the floor. Large whirlling blades an inch above his crotch carefully cover his naughty bits.

Ketler: (sweet is pouring down his face) Do you really have to do this?

P/Y/R: Whatever it takes to cure you.

P/Y/R pulls out on of his Jeala mags. Ketler cringes as she opens it to him.

Gaia appears in Volrath's mind.

Volrath: Gah! Don't do that!

Gaia: *giggle* Sorry about that. There was just something I wanted to tell you.

Volrath: Um...ok...

Gaia: Though most of what you said is true, she was closer than you think to the brink of destruction. You remember how badly she hurt you...

Volrath: She couldn't help it. Her father made her do that.

Gaia: Yes, he did. But it was Lisa who began lifting the darkness from her. Had that not happened, regardless of your intentions, Terra would not have survived intact. She likely would have not only done what she did to you of her own accord, but you would be very dead and gone.

Volrath: But...I can't die...

Gaia: Not by normal means...

Volrath:  :thinks:   She wouldn't have...!

Gaia: Yes, she would. That is the true nature of the darkness that nearly consumed her. But you needn't worry about that anymore. Next time you see her, take a good look at her. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Khyber: I think that its time to bring an end to this....

Jarlot: Yes.

Khyber: You were always a failure in my eyes Jarlot.

 • Jarlot grabs the Mi-Go canon and aims it at the obelisk's cluster, stuffing the Gauntlet in the power source*

Khyber: GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Jarlot: Veni, Veni, Veni...

Ketler: I came, I came, I came?

Jarlot: Oh sorry, that was the song from my bachelor party.

Ketler: Okay, what just happened?

Jarlot: I set the Mi-Go gun to reverse and them aimed it at the obelisks. Because they were designed to bring the dimension of Khyber closer because of the way Ha...err You Know Who altered them....it started pushing it backwards when it was fired this way. The Gaunlet also had a connection to the Ebon Flame and sucked it dry to push it far away.

Ketler: That makes no logical sense!

Jarlot: Eh, it worked didn't it?

Ketler: Well at least it's over...

 • pauses to make sure no other big bads are coming*

Satnak - Next one gets skinned alive then strangled with it.

Milaji - she's a scary lady

Chalky - Ain't we a bunch of stinkers? :D

Satnak barely manages to stagger to her bed and colapse. Her body is wracked with pain once more, but her exhaustion overpowers the pain and sleep soon finds the Breaker Prime.

Milaji seeing no other way tries to sneak on board.

Kanatash - Nice try, but no one gets on without an interview.

OORampart : see if you guys can do somehing with these

Silver - Lazy

OORampant : GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE!

Bunny - Tou-chy

OORampart : WF assasin just post, you don't even need your own character, but if you want one go ahead, or take over someone who doesn't get used much.

Silver - again la-zy

OORampant - Thats it where's my shotgun?

Bunny - That wont work

OORampant : It will if I don't load it.

OOKaizer: Good luck with that one Ishmael Jr. Maybe you'll have better luck than the last Redshirt she dated.

Ishmael Jr.: W-what? What do you mean?

OOKaizer: He rubbed Marish the wrong way, literally, and Cuddles ate his spleen. While the poor fool was still alive.

Ishmael Jr.:

Marish: My little Cuddie-poo can be a bit over protective.

Terra finally opens her eyes. Looking about her, she sees Lisa snoozing with her head next to Terra's arm. A blanket is draped over her shoulders, and a covered bowl of soup sits on the table next to her. As she moves, Lisa awakens as well.

Terra: Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.

Lisa rubs her eyes for a moment and gets her bearings. When she realizes that Terra is awake, she practically flings herself at her, hugging her tightly.

Terra: Ow, ow, ow, ow! Not so hard! It still hurts!

Lisa: Oh! Sorry... How do you feel?

Terra: Like I just ate three barrels of 20 alarm d'Norbaz. Who boy, that stings.

Lisa: Mickey was able to put you back together once we returned. It's all over. Captain Jarlot is back to himself, and the Ebon Flame is gone.

Terra: That's a relief...

Lisa: You still seem worried.

Terra: I'm just confused as to why my regeneration hasn't kicked in. My body was too weak to use it before, but...

Terra feels a twinge in her gut.

Terra: Oh, this is gonna sting...

A few moments later, after much swearing, Terra's physical wounds are healed. Though everything still hurts like hell...

Mickey: *slurred* Jus' be careful, now. I'll release ya, but only so ya can return to your room. That fight did things to ya that can't be healed by anything but rest.

They head down the hall to their room, Terra still having a bit of trouble standing up as she leans on Lisa.

Terra: Man, he wasn't kidding.

Lisa: It'll go away in time. Until then, let me take care of you.

Terra: I don't want to burden you...

Lisa stops and looks Terra straight in the eye.

Lisa: *sternly* That wasn't a request. I'm taking care of you till you've made a full recovery, and that's that.

Terra saw the look in her eye and understood. As much as she had feared losing Lisa during the battle, Lisa had felt the same way about her. She even had to endure Terra's life being merely a hairs breadth away from getting sucked into the Ebon Flame and lost forever. Smiling softly, she aquieced.

Terra: Ok, ok. You win. I'll be good.

Jarlot can finally relax, sitting down with his bestest, best freind, Captain Morgan.

Igor: Mathter, I am afraid I have bad newth.

Jarlot: What could possibly be wrong? We just defeated Ariajni, Hastur was a pushover, Tiamat was over so quickly I almost feel sorry for her, and I’m back to my old self. (takes swig from rum bottle) I bet every villain in the campaign setting is revising their plans to avoid us. The Emerald Claw is being pretty quite. The Inspired are sticking to being weird diplomats. Even the Aurum is just acting like a bunch of businessmen.

Igor: That may be, mathter, but we’ve thlipped in the pirate rankingth.

Igor takes out a copy of Buccaneer Bi-monthly and lays it in front of Jarlot. Jarlot turns to the rankings page.

Jarlot: WHAT??!!

Igor: According to the latetht thurvey of Eberronian rethidentth very few managthed to identify thith crew ath pirateth. Even our mortal enemieth think of uth more ath jutht overgrown delinquentth.

Jarlot: Below the Pirates of Penzance?

Igor: Below even the Spongebob pirates.

Jarlot: Quick, Igor, get the senior crew assembled! This is first and foremost a pirate ship, and will not let our honor be impugned!

Igor: Not exthactly piratical, mathter, but a firm thart. Yet thith will take more than a thimple bank robbery. It will require a thwathbuckle of amathing heightth jutht to return to the rankingth. And one of crathzy proporthionth to rithe into the Top 10.

Jarlot: Igor, we’re the Forgotten Freedom. We do crazy without meaning to.
