In her continuing growth, Deis has developed a somewhat sadistic sense of humor. Her favorite spells all involve either tentacles or some form of annoying effect, such as Evard's Black Tentacles and Web. She has taken a liking to her Uncle Volrath's Aberrations, and can be often times found playing with them. She has also taken an interest in Volrath's experiments and helps him out every so often. Other times she can be found hanging out with Volrath's son Vladamire, looking up to the videogame villain composite as a pseudo-big brother/evil role model. Interestingly enough, she considers the Book of Vile Darkness to be needlessly violent, overly permanent in its scarring, and otherwise impractical.
Kithle, 13, and Chalky have all taken a shine to her due to her penchant for pranks, mischief, and all-around adeptness at spreading annoyance.
They have also learned that just because they may be helping her out it doesn't mean they aren't a target.

The second of Terra's twins, Deis shows promise as a Sorceror. Except for her personality, she is identical to Nina in every way. Deis is very headstrong, and can be a bit pushy if she thinks things aren't going as fast or as well as she thinks they should. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, she is intensely protective of her siblings. She and Nina have a braided ponytail in the back, tied with the ribbons their parents received as wedding gifts from their Entity.
