The Hopewell Foundation is looking for a motivated person with a demonstrated interest in public welfare and human rights and a BA/BS in Political Science, Government, Public Affairs or similar to serve as an Advocacy Assistant.  The Assistant will undertake research on legal matters of national and international concern, compile reports on human rights policy and, with the Director of Survivor Advocacy, meet with members of local and national government to present the Hopewell Foundation's case.  Strong analytical, writing and computer skills required, as is the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and statistical packages like SAS, SPSS, or Stata required; ability to manipulate and analyze very large datasets required.  Salary: low 30's | EOE M/F/H/V

Business Model[edit]

Like other think-tanks of its type, the Hopewell Foundation employs a number of scholars who do research and perform consultations for corporations, governments, militaries and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The Hopewell Foundation charges a fee for its consulting work, and this fee is assessed on a sliding scale of financial need; those who are least able to pay for the Foundation's services are charged the least, while those with more readily available funds are charged more.
